Teresa Heinz Kerry (Ketchup)

To be honest I didn't know she was part of the Heinz products family when her husband first started campaigning. I've never heard anyone put ketchup at the end of her name. I do think it's a little odd but then I do odd things myself.

As far as whether she did or didn't legally change her name I don't know why people make an issue of this. I've been reading Clinton's book and it was an when he was running for Governor. Hilary did change her name after they'd been married a number of years just to get people off their backs.

The reason I brought up the name change is because I question why she would suddenly tack on the Kerry name just for politics. She seems like someone who is not afraid to be herself. If she wants to keep the Heinz name only, thats fine. Don't make the change because of politics.

Perhaps she kept her name because of her children? And eventually got to the point that she felt comfortable changing it? Why assume it was political?

I don't care why she changed her name. Her business and not particularly relevant to anything IMO.

BTW, I had never heard of Bush beans until I lived in Alabama.

I've seen Bush beans commercials in Jersey, Virginia, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Washington State - I always thought they were a national thing. (I like the doggie!)

Bush beans are great. Very Good recipe. However, You know that if John is behind in the race, Teresa is going to say "Ketchup"

She was married to Sen. Heinz (of the Heinz family fortune). He was a Republican who was killed in a plane crash. She is an extremely wealthly woman who married John Kerry. He is divorced. I imagine she kept the name because of her children and because of her ties to the Heinz fortune.

I never called her Heinz Ketchup but I did think it was funny that she wore a ketchup red suit last night.
