My husband has been wanting to go here for awile. We are heading down for a short trip in Feb. and I made ADRs for dinner. We have little ones (7,4 & 2) how is it for kids? Is the food kid friendly? How about the atmosphere?

I looked at the menu on Alleasrs, but I honestly can't tell what I am looking at! :sad2: :lmao:

I am sure the food is great for adults, but I concenred about the kids. I always appreciate the feedback I get here! Thanks in advance,:thumbsup2

We went last year with our kids aged 4 and 6, and they were very entertained by the chefs. The waitresses were helpful as well. My 4 yr old is quite a picky eater, and mainly had steamed rice and then dessert but he was happy with that. We are going back again this year, it's definitely worth a try.

We were there last week. There was a little boy at the table, maybe 4 or 5 years old.....he got a cute monorail shaped plate/bowl thing that had rice and chicken in it. The kid was fascinated by the monorail much more than the chef, but at least it kept him occupied, lol. After he was done eating he was climbing up and down and being a bit distracting, but thankfully by then the chef had finished and we were just eating.

Since my husband wanted to go there so bad, it will be his job to entertain the 2yo there. It sounds like the older ones should enjoy it. Does the food come with sauces, or is it on the side to dip it in?

I'm not sure about the sauces for the kids meal....I wasn't close enough to get a detailed look at it....but I'm sure you could ask that any sauces be on the side. I'd also venture to guess that they aren't using the same sauces for the kids meals as they do for the monorail kid meal.....but if you have a picky eater, or non-adventurous eater, you might want to ask. Disney restaurants have always been the best I've ever seen when it comes to requests for changes to the menu!

For the regular meals, one of the first things that the chef does is pour, explain and serve a dish that has three different sauces on it (the dish has three compartments so the sauces don't mix). One is recommended for the meat, one recommended for the veggies, and the last is recommended for the shrimp. They are all delicious, and being the rebel that I am, I mixed and matched the sauces with all the different foods, lol.
