I read that if eating at this restaurant on the dining plan, that only certain foods were allowed... Is this so??? If so, what is excluded to a person dining there on the dining plan???

This is probably in our top 3 favorite restaurants at WDW (I know, for some of you this is very hard to understand ), but I'd be interested in knowing if restrictions apply as well.

It is one of our favorites as well.
There has been lots of discussion about this topic.
We have been here twice while on the DDP.
What happened since the implementation of the plan is this.
The lobster combination dinner is no longer on the regular menu, the lobster is now considered an "Add On". You can get it for a surcharge - the same for all diners, not just those on the DDP.
Also, before the DDP, there were sushi appetizers offered. These too are now considered "Add - On's" not on the regular menu for anyone.
Other than these, the regular menu applies for all.
You can still get steak and steak combo meals, like steak and shrimp for example.
I do not feel that the menu is limited at all.

Thanks for the response! I'm glad they found a way to make this restaurant still work for everyone without restricting the menu. We hope to try it for the 1st time on our Dec trip!

Anyone know an estimated cost of the sushi appetizers add ons? My oldest son has an ADR for here in September. He's doing all his extra budgeting now, he will want to try these for sure. I'd like to tell him how much more to add to his budget.

We had steak and shrimp in June on the DDP and it was great. This is now one of our favorites!
