DH started with marinated spicy tuna rolls (sushi) with extra wasabi that he downed like it was honey. The table chef was just laughing at him. He told him in ten years of cooking he had never seen anyone ask for a second helping of wasabi! DH said the sushi was excellent!
The wonderful salad with ginger dressing was brought for those ordering adult entrees. The kids were given fresh fruit salads.
The 3 younger boys had the kids portion of beef tenderloin. The two older boys had Tori (chicken) and DH and I had the Beef Tenderloin.
our chef said he was not into the throwing of knives and putting on a show. He was into quality preparation of food. That was accurate. The food was simply delicious! Most of us had ginger ice cream for dessert. So good! DH had Chestnut Mousse and preferred it to the ice cream. DH declared this his all around favorite meal. Many of the kids said the same thing. I loved it but would probably give the award for all around best meal to another restaurant. The chef does not take care of your basic needs like drinks and dessert. The woman who hosted our table was not friendly. We had a hard time receiving basic service from her. This was our 3rd visit to Teppanyaki and I'm sure we will be returning next visit.

I love this restaurant a friend of mine took me there for my first time in December and your review described it very well. But golly extra wasabi!!!  A very brave man indeed LOL ;)

Thanks for the review

Thanks for the review!

You are right about Tappanyaki, could not agree more!! We tried the real ones (okonomaki) in Japan where you cook the food yourself, It's gr-eat.

We will be at DW in 14 days!!!! This is one of the places that we are very excited about. We have a PS for dinner one evening that we are there. Thanks for the review.

Belle5, how would you describe the size of the kid portions? We will be eating there next trip with my DD age 11, not sure if we should do a kid or adult size.

Thanks.

We have alway enjoyed our meals at Teppanyaki as well!! Great entertainment too!!

The kid's portions are large. It should be more than enough food for her plus it comes with fruit and ice cream.

Thanks. I think she'd enjoy the fruit salad more than the ginger lettuce one.
:D
