I read on here that there is a show? What exactly goes on here? How is the food? Is it at all similar to Yak & Yeti? We are thinking of eating there in AK. Thanks?

The show at Teppan Edo - you sit at a table that surrounds the area where your food is cooked, the whole time the cook is preparing your meal right at your table, they involve food art, skill, and humor in the process. It can be very enjoyable, but the level of your experience will depend upon your cook for the meal, while some things are the same with all cooks, their level of skill and interaction can greatly vary.

Yak n Yeti is very different, it is a normal sit down service, with what I would consider a very different taste due to the way the food is spiced, but we love it there too.

These have both been very enjoyable meals in the past for me

Both Teppan Edo and Yak & Yeti are great restaurants but very different. Yak & Yeti is a TS restaurant where the food has some Asian influences. I would highly recommend it. The salmon and chicken lo-mein were great as well as the service and decorations. Teppan Edo is a hibachi restaurant. The tables fit 8 people (i believe) so if your party is smaller than that could would be sharing a table. Once you order your meal, the chef will come out and prepare it in front of you. In addition to simply cooking your food he/she will do some "tricks", jokes, etc. to entertain. As a PP said your experience will depend on the chef as they are all different. It is definitely a fun experience!
