Teppan Edo

I called to make my ADRs for Jan. 2009 and Teppan Edo is not part of the dining plan. The woman who assisted me told me to keep checking back. Anyone know when they usually make their decisions? I made the reservation just in case.

I made reservations for Tepan Edo for December and we are on the Dining Plan and I was told they were included on the dining plan. I guess I had better call back and check. There is another thread that talks about this exact topic also and I believe they said on that thread Tepan Edo had been added to the Dining Plan but I will call and find out for sure.

I think it is on for 2008 - but not for 2009.

The restaurants that are not owned by Disney are not on the 2009 dining plan list yet.

Last year, most signed on at the end of November and there were a few holdouts until December. Teppan Edo was one of those. No telling when or if they'll sign on this year. The only thing that can be said is that we will know by the end of the year.

There is a rumor going around that few if any of the 3rd party restaurants will sign on for the dining plan next year, but so far that is only a rumor.

If your reservation is in 2008 you are fine - this is only for 2009. The restaurants not owned by Disney have to renew their contracts each year.

Everyone should still make their ADR for Teppan Edo now, and not wait for the final list of DDP restaurants. Chances are that it will be listed, so you will have your reservation already. If you wait till it it is listed, you run the risk of not getting the ADR time/day you want.

I agree! We went ahead and made our ADR for January, betting that they will be on the list. *crossing fingers*

Gosh, I hope its gets added for 2009. This is the one restaurant that I really want to eat at, the one of the reasons we signed up for the DDP. I know there are many other good restaurants, but Teppan Edo was going to be our welcome celebration. Come on TE - sign up!!!!

I checked allearsnet.com and that website said that for 2008 Teppan Edo is on the Disney Dining Plan. I did just call Disney Dining and they did verify that Teppan Edo is on the Disney Dining Plan for 2008. Hope this helps...

We made a reservation for Teppan Edo for Jan. 09 The CM said nothing to me about them not participating w/ the dinning plan.
Will they notify us if the resturant chooses not to sign?

I do not think that you will be notified if they choose not to sign on.
It is up to you to know the participating restaurants.
Keep an eye out here, and then you can call and change if you need to.
