Is Teppan Edo still set up the same way Teppanyaki was? Hibachi style, and same basic style of food and set up?

We just ate there for lunch last week. As reported, there is no longer any salad, or any soup, included with the price of the meal, but the meal prices are a bit cheaper than they used to be when things were included. This obviously in response to the DDP changes. Now they give you a less expensive entree, and you pay OOP if you want the soup and salad. I think desert used to be included, too, but now it is not, although I may be remembering that wrong.

It is still good, and they have redone the whole restaurant area on both sides. There is now another sit down place inside the pavilion. We had the scallops and they were very tasty. I enjoyed this meal a lot. My favorite in Epcot.

Thanks for the replies. I thought it was probably basically the same idea, just wanted to be sure. Thanks!

Does anyone know if you can get various types of sushi at Teppan Edo-- besides what's on the appetizer list? My kids LOVE sushi, and usually that's all they eat when we go to a Japanese restaurant.

They have an appetizer sampler of sushi which was a piece of tuna, piece of yellow tail, piece of shrimp, and two pieces of California roll for $7.50. There was an eel roll cooked on the grill, same price, and a California roll as well. There may have been 1 other sushi option. Not a great selection, but its available.
