Teppan Edo timing question

I have an ADR For 6:00 pm at Teppan Edo, can we still make it to Fast Pass for Wishes?

I sure hope so. Wishes is at 10pm so that gives you 4 hours to eat and then get over to MK. I would eat dinner and then hit the monorail over to MK. Have fun.

1) Could be tight, but you *should* be fine..
2) With a 6:00pm ADR, one could expect to be seated by 6:10pm-6:15pm
3) Since this is Teppan-style, the meal is paced by the eatery, and not by you.
. . . the chef has a set routine
. . . so, there are few delays or timing changes
. . . drinks ahead of the meal might extend the time slightly, but not by much
4) My guess is 50-70 minutes for the meal, then a few minutes to cash-out.
5) Now,
. . . 6:00-7:25 eat and pay
. . . 7:25-7:40, walk to monorail
. . . 7:40-7:50, wait for next monorail and load
. . . 7:50-8:05, travel time to MK station
. . . 8:05-8:15, walk to MK gate and enter (longer if you need a bag-check by Security

NOTE: You may or may not be able to get into the assigned FP area for Wishes. It does fill up, and there might not be room for your party by the time you get to MK. These are not Reserved Spaces, so getting there early is usually important. No big deal, but just be prepared to stand with all the other guests.

I agree with rusty you should be fine. In may my wife and I had a similar time table except we had dinner went to our resort (Contemporary) to change and had to haul it to HS for star wars weekend fireworks. We made it with ample time so I don't think there is any time issue for you at all.

As far as food goes I recommend the filet if you like steak. I've never had a bad meal there before so I'm pretty sure your safe on all points of the menu.

Personally, if Wishes is at 8, I think you are going to be hard pushed to make it.

I would think you may have trouble. This August we did Teppan Edo and waited about 20 minutes past ADR to be seated and the meal took another 90 minutes.

It is possible if everything falls into place but I wouldn't risk it myself. You'll need to be seated on time, have the meal fast paced which isn't really what normally happens at a hibachi restaurant, you'll need to avoid any delays getting out of the park to the monorail, the monorail would have to arrive close to when you get to the station, and you will have to get on the first monorail.

If you want to erase some of the variables I'd head out of the IG, to the Beach Club, take a cab to the Contemporary, and then walk over. Even with that I would try to move the ADR up an hour myself.

If Wishes are at 8, it probably won't be possible. 10, sure, but probably not 8, sadly.

All food is cooked 'the same' on the grill (very little flavoring is put on it): you're given three sauces to use as you choose to add more flavor. So I'd just order what you like most, be it chicken, beef or shrimp.

I've always enjoyed the scallops at Teppan Edo. Probably more food with the filet mignon/steak, though.

6 pm Teppan Edo and 8 pm Wishes? I'm going to say, not a chance. Especially with Christmas crowds. Our Teppan Edo dinner took about an hour and we were seated on time. If that falls into place, you are looking at an hour to either walk to the front of EP, catch a monorail, change to another monorail, walk to the MK entrance, go through bag check and then get through Christmas crowds to get the the FP+ area. Or go through IG, go to BC, wait for bus, walk to MK, etc. You could cab it the entrance of CR, but even then, you'll have a 10 - 15 minute walk just to get into MK. I would try to get an earlier Teppan Edo or just skip Wishes
