Teppan Edo & Restaurant Marrakesh

Well DH discovered he LOVES Japanese food tonight, so now he wants to try Teppan Edo. And me, I've been wanting to try Restaurant Marrakesh. How is Teppan Edo & Restaurant Marrakesh? Also if we grabbed 7pm ADRs, do you think we could be out of both places by 9pm for IllumiNations? I figured get seated by 7:30pm, get our food no later then 8pm, eat until about 8:30 - 8:45pm and then head on out of there and get spots for IllumiNations. We would be going to Restaurant Marrakesh on Aug 11th and Teppan Edo on Aug 13th. TIA!

I love Marrakesh. I thought the food was very good, different but not so different I didn't enjoy it. We enjoyed the belly dancer and the service was also great. I would gladly eat there again.

I haven't done Tepan Edo, didn't like the idea of sitting with strangers so we did Tokyo Dining instead. It was wonderful. I loved the food, atmosphere and the service as amazing.

I think a 7:00 ADR would be safe for Illuminations. Tokyo Dining actually has some tables wth great views of Illuminations. Both of those restaurants are far enough into the World Showcase that its fairly easy to find great spots to see Illuminations close to 9:00. In fact, in Japan, you have a great view from the stairs leading up to the restaurant or the balcony area in the front (which is open to anyone).

These are 2 of our must dos each trip. We love both.
Marakkesh is a beautiful restaurant. The food is delicious and it has warm friendly servers. The Belly Dancer and band are fun also.
We always liked Teppan Edo (Teppanyaki in the past), but it is even more beautiful since the renovations. We love the combination meals and it is great fun to be entertained by the chef. We also enjoy the tables for 8 and meeting ohter folks on vacation.
I think with a 7 PM ADR you should be okay for Illuminations.

Well I made my 2 ADRs. Good thing to! I had no problem getting it for Restaurant Marrakesh for 7pm, but when I went to make my ADR for Teppan Edo, she gave 2 times! 8:30pm and 4:45pm! I had her check for the 14th thinking maybe I could just switch my san angel inn to the 13th, and there was NOTHING available for the entire day! So I grabbed the 4:45pm ADR.
