I have a question about Teppan Edo for those of you that have been there. We will be going to Disney in January with a group of 6 adults and 4 children (ages 13, 9, 4, 2).

First, would we all be able to sit together?

Second, do you think a 4 and 2 year old will do okay there, or will I spend the entire dinner frantically trying to keep them away from the hot stove?

Third, My 9 year old nephew's diet consists entirely of chicken fingers, macaroni and hot dogs. Do they have a children's menu with "american" food that he would eat?

Thanks for any input... I wanted to go so bad last year, but decided against it with a 15 month old and 3 year old.

I believe the table seats 8 people. You don't have to worry about the little ones touching the stove as long as they aren't up on the table! I think the kids food is asian, not mac and cheese, but I'm not sure about that.

We were there last week and the tables do seat 8, so you would be split into two groups. I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old and they sat them at the corner of the table so they are far removed from the cooking surface. They were entertained by the chef and loved that their dinner came in a monorail. They do offer a tempura plate with chicken and shrimp for children, but I asked for it to be all chicken and they obliged. It also comes with veggies and a fruit cup. It was one of our favorite meals of the trip and we are planning on returning.

I haven't been there yet myself, but I wonder if the 2 and 4 year old were in high chairs, could they all then fit at the table and not have to split the party?

I've been wanting to try this place too and we may on our December trip. The thing I like the least that I've read is that they use noodles instead of rice. I like the rice, but not the noodles...

We were there in Feb 08 and the noodles are in addition to the rice. It's a side dish they make right on the grill.

There are also long tables that do not have the cooking surface on them - these seemed to entertain larger parties. ( I think the one behind us had 10 )

The food is terrific! Not to be missed!:thumbsup2

Well that's good to know! I think I'll erase my 'X' I wrote on Teppan Edo for our trip. :thumbsup2 If it weren't for the rice, the only thing I'd be eating is the meat...
