Would this be a good place to eat w/ a 2 and 5 yr old? Thanks!

I think that depends on your 2 & 5 yr old. We were there w/ our DD when she was 22 months old. She happily coloured & taught herself how to use chopsticks. Your 5 yr old would probably get a kick out of watching the chef prepare all of the food right there.

I think so, because it's entertaining. The chefs are usually really good at doing cute kid-friendly things on the grill, too, with the foods (like create trains and such)

We are going there, and I have heard great things about keeping the kids entertained! Obviously, not worried about my dd14, but I think my ds4 will love it! We can't wait to eat there!:thumbsup2

we are taking our kids there this september. My DD is 6 and my DS is 2. DD has been to many japanese restaruants like Teppan Edo and DS has been a few times. Both my kids LOVE the food.

We took our 4 year old grandson last year and when we told him that we would be taking him back this August the first place he said he wanted to go was to Teppan Edo. Can't wait!

I don't have kids but we have been seated with families with little ones just about every time-- I've never seen a kid who wasn't entertained by the chef. I think it's one of the best meals for little ones in Epcot.

In 2006 when we were there it was my favorite meal of the trip b/c of the food and ds(3) because it was fun. We have since been to other places like it and ds( now 6) still loves them. He can't wait to go back. My dd(2) however has never enjoyed the part where it flames really big. I anticipate having to let her sit on my lap at that time but it is worth it.

Yes! That is our favorite restaurant. Our daughter loved it, she was 2 the first time. Our older sons thought it was a blast! The funniest thing was the hostesses name was "Yukki" and the servers name was "Yumi". My kids pronounced it yucky and yummy--lucky their roles weren't reversed.

This is good to hear. We're planning to eat here in February and our DS will be 9 months old. We were hoping it was infant-friendly.

Entertainment yes
BUT
Every Japanese Steak House I have eaten out all over the country are all better and cheaper. The chefs are not allowed to "FLAME" the grill or juggle knives etc. :confused3
