Taking the kids with their Korean grandparents - which is better in your opinion, Teppan Edo or Tokyo Dining? Thanks in advance!

I haven't been to Teppan Edo yet, but it is on my list to try.

If you like Sushi, Tokyo dining is very good.

Teppan Edo is my kids favourite Disney restaurant. We haven't tried Tokyo Dining yet, but it looks good too. If you're looking for something entertaining though, Teppan Edo is a good choice. The chef's put on a cute show, and we've always been very happy with the meal.

Ever been to a Japanese Village restaurant or similar hibatchi style place? That's Teppan Edo. Tokyo Dining is quieter with a more 'adult' atmosphere and has really good sushi and tempura selections. Not sure of the ages of your children, but if they're quite young I think Teppan Edo might be more suitable.

We've been to both and enjoyed both of them. Teppan Edo is your regular hibachi style with a the show and Tokyo Dining is sit down so both have their pluses.

When we ate last at TD we lucked out and got the corner window and had a great view of Illuminiations.:cloud9: ( I did request a window seat for my DM's birthday-never a guarantee).

The food at both locations is good.

Depending on the size of your group you may decide Teppan Edo is the best choice. Better for larger groups than regular tables.

Enjoy!

We've been to both. Where we live (Vancouver), we have an abundance of Japanese restaurants that serve fresh sushi and cooked Japanese food. But we have no hibachi style restaurants where the chef cooks in front of you and does the show. So of course, my family gravitates toward Teppan Edo. Another case for Teppan Edo is that nothing is deep fried. Food is cooked on the grill in front of you. At Tokyo Dining, if you don't eat sushi, I found a lot of the menu items were deep fried.

We love Teppan Edo. My kids love having the Hibachi chef coOk on the table in front of us. :thumbsup2

We've been to both and we liked both very much. Teppan Edo has been a must do on every trip. It is much better than the Japanese steakhouse here. We enjoy both the food and the "show". Last year DH andI decided to try Tokoyo Dining. It was lovely and more "upscale" in my opinion. It was quiet and the service was outstanding. We do not like Sushi, and I was looking forward to the Tempura chicken. It was delicious, but it ended up being too much fried food for me. It was my fault for what I ordered.
Next trip will be back to Teppan Edo
