Teppan Edo or Tokyo Dining?

My husband likes sushi a lot and looking for a dinner for him. He will be overloaded on character meals!! We have the dining plan. Which place serves better food? How does Tokyo Dining work on the dining plan. Looking at the menu it looks like everything is a la carte?

While I'm not sure about DDP (as I have to admit I've never used it), I can advise you about the restaurants. If your husband is overloaded on character meals, he may prefer not to be entertained by Japanese chefs as they cook on grills in front of you. With what you described, I would definitely go with Tokyo Dining. They have an extensive sushi menu. You can also request a window table, and time your meal so that you can watch Illuminations from your table.

Sorry, I too cannot comment on the using the Dining Plan at the Tokyo Dining Room as I live in the Orlando area. My wife and I love this restaurant. We find the service excellent as well as the offerings on the menu.

The previous poster right, the sushi menu is extensive and it's also fun to watch the sushi chefs create. The atmosphere is relaxing and the view cannot be beat.

I give Tokyo Dining 2 thumbs up.

Never been to Tokyo Dining but it sounds like something your DH would like. We love Teppen Edo.

Haven't been to Teppen, but we love Tokyo dining. When we were there on the Dining Plan (1 time DEC 08) we were a little disappointed that we could not order Rolls as a meal. I do not recall if there was a 'set' Sushi meal you could get and I imaging that things can change.

Only caused us to go back OOP on another trip (or two)

But you are correct to try and find out the details of the DDP for Tokyo ahead of time to avoid possible disappointment!

We are doing Tokyo Dining this Sept. but we are Paying out of pocket for it. DH is a sushi fanatic and since we are going for his birthday we might as well splurge a little.
