Teppan Edo menu question

In the past, the menu showed a scallop dinner as an option. Looking at it recently I don't see it listed as a dinner but as an enhancement to a meal. Has anyone eaten there recently who can report what the actual restaurant menu shows?

I ate there this past August. Scallops were an enhancement that could only be ordered in addition to an entrée.
As a side note, I enjoyed my entrée (I got the chicken) but I could have lived without the scallops. They were a little dry.

Thank you for your reply. We haven't been there in a couple of years but my DH had scallops then and he said that they were really good. He only wanted the scallop meal so we may skip Teppan Edo unless this changes before our next trip.

For those that have don Teppan Ego, how do they handle shellfish allergies? I have a severe allergy and worry about cross contamination but know some in our party would love to eat there.

Ate there last week. Scallops were an enhancement, not a main entree item.

Thanks CraigInPA
Too bad they didn't have the option of a scallop dinner or an enhancement.

I'm allergic to scallops specifically and have eaten there many times. I have had people order them either in my group, or at the table(when they have other groups combine) and they always just made sure they made their scallops on a separate part of the grill-I have had no issues. I imagine they treat it the same way if there are full shellfish allergies at the table

Did you let your server know about your specific allergy?
As I posted upthread, whenever we have eaten there with an allergy in our party, the food for the person with the allergy was cooked first on the clean grill before the offending items were put on the grill at all.

Yes-I don't have a severe allergy and let them know it was ok as long as I didn't ingest them directly(or anything they touched). They used separate utensils to cook the one person's food who ordered them last time I was there-and basically cooked them right in front of where the person was sitting(not anywhere near me) They spoke to me at length prior to ordering. My niece has DOES have full shellfish allergy however-so they cooked her chicken and steak prior to the rest of our food on our most recent trip.

We have dined at Benihana, in the Hilton right across the street from DS, many times and they do have a scallop entree.
