We arrive at WDW next Sunday and currently have 10 ADRs but only 8 dining credits. I am definitely planning to pay for Ohana breakfast OoP. But, we can't decide whether or not to keep our Teppan Edo ADR and pay OoP for Donald Safari Breakfast too. Can you sell me on why this meal is or isn't a can't miss???

Our full ADR list is:

1900 Park Fare dinner
Kona Cafe dinner
Le Chefs de France lunch
Mama Melrose F! package dinner
Donald's Breakfast Safari
Ohana dinner
Teppan Edo dinner
Ohana Lilo & Stitch breakfast (OoP)
Le Cellier dinner

My opinion....it will depend on the kids ages and if you have ever done one of those Japanese type dining and weather or not they will eat it.
Teppan Edo has steak, chicken, or shrimp

We did Teppan Edo for the first time this last trip and LOVED it! It was definitely a highlight of the trip. The food was excellent as was the service and "show" (aka the chef cooking at our table). I wouldn't pass this opportunity up, as it really was a cool dining experience.

I love Teppan style meals and this did NOT disappoint. Also, the service was superb and the atmosphere was a lot of fun!!

We really enjoyed Teppan Edo. It was one of the better restaurants we ate it last year when on the Deluxe Dining Plan. Plus our kids enjoyed the "show" and interaction with the chefs.

Teppan Edo is definitely worth it. I have a 7 year old and when we told him we were going back to Disney this year one of the first things he asked was if we were eating at "Japan". The cast members are great. The fixed my sons chopsticks so he could eat with them. If I had known that is what it took to get him to eat good then I have done that a long time ago.:lmao:

Teppan Edo is definitely a good restaurant, but if you have a Japanese hibachi place where you live, it's the same meal. We liked it when we went years ago, but we try other places when we return to WDW, places different from what we normally eat at home.

We love Teppan Edo. It is a must do for us each trip. I think it is worth it.
The restaurant is beautiful, the service is great and the food is really good.
Have a Good Trip

We have Japanesse hibachi places at home too but it's not as if we frequent them. They are more of a special occasion spot and what is a more special occasion than going to Disney? My DS16 told me it was his favorite meal and it was the only one he asked to do again this time. Of course he is also into Manga and anime' so this suited him in that regard too.

We found the table show, while somewhat typical of any hibachi place, to be fun, the food excellent and the atmosphere and experience was top notch. Or perhaps it was just a matter of having teenagers who are always on the run and finding us all together, sitting around the table for a longer time than most meals while laughing and sharing a experience that appealed to all of us.

I think that's the whole concept of "worth it" when it comes to ADRs. It's a matter of picking what your family can enjoy together based on your own individual tastes and interests.

Hope you have a wonderful time on your trip!

(one afterthought, breakfasts tend to be less costly and if you can't stand to give one up, they're the better "bargain" if you want to pay OoP for them and keep your ADRs)
