I haven't heard or seen any reviews on Teppan Edo. We Love Japanese food, but was wondering how good there food and service is here. Thanks for any comments you can give me.

I love it! The steak and chicken is to die for. I may eat there twice next time. Also, I don't know if I would call it "Japanese" food - it is like a Benihana. You also will probably eat with another family or 2 - depending on how many you have in your party. There are usually 8 seated at a table.

We loved it! Entertaining and excellent food.

You can find reviews on allearsnet.com

We love Hibachi food but our local place is so much cheaper and offers a shrimp, soup and salad app included in the price and has fried rice.

We have been to Teppan Edo a few times and is good but we get better at home and for the above reasons

I LOVE it! This is one of my must dos. Their rice is so yummy!

Like others have said, it is like the restaurants at home but it is fun and delicious.

We love it. We can't afford the similar restaurants near home, but the DDP allows us to afford it at Disney :goodvibes .

(I should say, I could afford it if I didn't go to Disney so much)!

Just ate there last trip and loved it, one of the best meals of the week. Both the food and service were excellent.

The food is yummy and my kids love it. We've eaten there at two separate trips and have enjoyed it both times. My son loves the filet. I like the shrimp a lot.

We absolutely love it & go every trip! The food is awesome, and it's very entertaining.

I guess I am the minority then we were not impressed at all. We had never been to a hibatchi place before and my DD was begging to try it. We thought the food was good but the portions were tiny and I by no means a big eater. Well after we tried our local hibatchi place our opinion of Teppen Edo went down even further. The food ia much better and cheaper locally and they put on a much bette "show". We just took the kids this weekend and our bill for 5 was $100 and DH and I got 2 orders of sushi and we both had filet and shrimp as did my one DD.

I would try a local place first if you have one.

ditto..the food was better at th eone at home as well.

Although I have to agree that I enjoy the food better at the hibachi restaurant here at home, we really enjoyed Teppan Edo when we went in January. I was on the dining plan and had plenty to eat. For the main course, I chose the filet mignon. I was given a huge portion. It was very tender and cooked just the way I requested. Also included with the entree was a side of white rice (not the typical fried rice at Hibachi steak houses) and a zuchini and onion medley of vegetables. There was no salad or mushroom broth soup as is included in Hibachi steak houses here at home, but I was full at the end of the meal. Our chef's name was Tomo, and he was entertaining. One of the ladies at the table was a vegetarian and the chef took the time to make sure she could have butter or other items and cooked her meal before the rest of ours. At the end of the meal, I chose the chocolate ginger cake since it was included with the DDP, but got it to go and ate it later. Teppan Edo was a fun experience, and we are planning to return when we visit again in May.

Family and I love it. The chef's are very entertaining and the food is great. We've been there a couple times that I can think of.

Thanks everybody for all your comments, I have eaten locally, I was just wondering how good it actually was here, I'm a little disappointed to hear that the rice is just cooked and not fried on the grill with the veggies.:sad1: but I think we are gonna try it anyway my DD really wants to go there.

I also was not impressed, it was ok while we were there even though the server told us we didn't get an appetizer on the deluxe dining plan (You do). I had a horrible reaction after we ate there, I mean throwing up all over Mexico an hour later. I don't get sick, I only get ill like that for one reason and that is MSG. When we made the reservations I asked and they said they have no MSG, but that is wrong or I have a unknown food allergy.

Both my daughter and I enjoyed our meal here. It is similar to a restaurant in our area, but it was a good meal and I didnt feel like the portion was too small. I think it was just enough. My husband and I will be eating here on our anniversary trip in June as he has not yet tried it out.
