Teppan Edo gone?

sigh... Teppan Edo isn't gone.

If you mean it appears physically gone, it's not. It exists, with no hint of disappearing.

If you mean 'gone from the dining plan', this happens EVERY year. While not aware that the official Plan has been announced for 2011, Walt Disney World announces the upcoming year's Disney-owned participating restaurants, with the outside-owned onsite restaurants coming onboard later in the year.

It happens, again, EVERY SINGLE YEAR. There will be multiple threads on the identical imagined 'devastation'.

As I think this is the Dining Plan part of the board of course I mean from the dining plan. :lmao:
I was just asking fellow Dinging Planners.

If it was really gone from Epcot I would have posted it on the restaurant part.
Rest assured it is no "devastating" happening for us. We like it and just pay OOP for it.

Every single year this happens. You will likely not see an updated list at the end of December after the third party restaurants renew their contracts. Until the final list comes out, Teppan Edo and the other third party restaurants can't be considered "gone."

I was really worried for a sec! Every place I have reservations in EP for our January trip were gone from the brochure! Not a huge deal as I haven't purchased the dining plan yet, but the major reason for getting the dining plan was that we had planned on eating at those restaurants! I thought I was going to have to rethink everything now! Which would be a huge project considering we have 21 people going on this trip! I'll just hang out and hold out hope that they all jump on board later on!

That is so strange!:wizard:

It's not strange. Disney can't offer their plan at restaurants they don't operate until the restaurants sign a contract stating they will accept the plan.

I am going to go ahead and close this thread now since the OP has their answer, and there's no need to alarm anyone by the title that it's gone for good.

There is a sticky about the restaurant list for 2011 and there is also a note in the first post of the 2011 Dining Plan thread. If anyone has any more questions about this please ask them there. Thanks! :goodvibes
