I was curious if anyone has used the dining plan at teppan edo. More to the point are you limited on just the entree section of the menu, or could you also do one of the add ons (Waygu beef or lobster tail) with your entree under a signal ts credit.

Generally, no matter which dining plan you have, the "sides" and "add-ons" are NOT included and require an additional payment, BUT it never hurts to ask once you're there.

Although, the way that menu is set up with the high-end items segregated out, there is a really good chance that they will say no.

What I was thinking, but worth a try since this will probably be the first time I do a dining plan

Any item that is an add on with a separate price point or in a separate section of the menu with a title such as Accompaniments, Enhancements or Add-ons is not included in the dining plan and would have to be paid out of pocket. In your example the Wagyu Steak ($56) or the Lobster Tail ($28.00) are listed as "Entree Add On Enhancements." Also, Teppan Edo is a third party restaurant which is reimbursed by Disney according to the rules of the dining plan so only entrees within the entree section of the menu would be eligible.

We've used the dining plan at Teppan Edo many times. You may select any item from the entree portion of the menu. Any additional items would not be included with your credit and would be paid out of pocket.

So you can get the steak and shrimp or just better to go for the fillet? And is an appetizer included for dinner as in other Disney restaurants? And has anyone gotten an alcoholic beverage and what is included?

If you have just the regular dining plan (1TS, 1QS, 2Snacks), then you don't get an appetizer ANYWHERE. If you have the Deluxe plan (3TS, 2Snacks), then you do get an app everywhere.

No reports back from Teppan Edo yet, so we don't know which alcoholic drinks are included.

We will be there Saturday night and I will try and post back. We have DXDDP for 1 night stay at OKW. I thought it would be worth it to use at Epcot for dining and snacks at FOA. Seems like a great deal with app, entree, dessert and alcoholic beverage x 3 for my wife and I.

Is it possible to order one of the Combinations (steak and shrimp, chicken and shrimp, or steak and chicken) on the DDP?

I am reporting back as we were supposed to dine there at 8:55 reservation Saturday. Illuminations was at 9pm. We did not think about trying to swim upstream against the crowd. We came in the back gate before 9, but was 9:10 before we got to Teppan Edo. They said we would not be charged, but we were too late as last seating was at 9pm. So, I guess you can not be late.

I used the DlxDP at TE in December and was so full I skipped the dessert! I had the Wafu Ribs app, and even some of those went to waste. I did try to eat all my entree - the filet mignon. Yum!

We dined there last night on the dining plan. They will permit you to substitute miso soup for the salad.

Combinations are allowed. We both had chicken and shrimp.

I agree it’s a lot of food without adding appetizers. I couldn’t finish my entree.

It was a delicious and entertaining meal.

Yes, that can happen if you are late. And not just at this restaurant.

I am so happy about that. I keep reading negative reviews about Teppan Edo and how the food isn’t very good and small portions. My DD really wants hibachi so I booked it for lunch in case it isn’t enough for dinner.

Can you get sushi as an app on the deluxe plan? For lunch?
Sushi is not on the appetizer menu at either lunch or dinner. You can always ask when ordering but it will most likely be an extra and not included in your dining credit.
