Teppan Edo and DDE

I was reading a review about Teppan Edo and the poster said a con was they did not honor the DDE card. What does that mean?

DDE was replaced by Tables in Wonderland. That is a discount card that can be purchased by WDW AP-ers and FL residents. (Not sure if it is just limited to those two groups. We use to have the DDE. But did not renew a few years back.)
DDE was the Disney Dining Experience. I think the name was changed to avoid DDP confusion.

DDE (Disney Dining Experience, name since changed) is not the same as DDP (Disney Dining Plan).

Teppan Edo does honor the 10% Annual Pass discount at lunch Monday thru Friday. We have TIW, but we present the AP for a discount at lunch.

That's exactly what I needed to know. I was fearful that I could not use my dining service credits there! I have an AP, I will have to check out this TIW. Do you guys think I would do better by using that instead of the DDP?

You must be an annual passholder or a Florida resident to be eligible for TIW. That said, a year's membership (13 months) costs $75 for AP holders and $100 for Florida residents who are not AP holders. The card, when presented at a participating restaurant, is good for 20% off the full bill, including alcohol, for up to 10 people on the same bill.

It's good at most Disney TS restaurants but only 9 CS restaurants (most of those are at resorts - the only park where CS restaurants accept TIW is Animal Kingdom). There are 8 TIW blackout dates yearly, most of them over major holidays. An automatic gratuity of 18% is charged on all TIW checks at table service restaurants and bars/lounges, regardless of party size.

We are DVC members with AP's and got the TIW card on our last trip. We were 4 adults and we calculated that the card saved us over $500 after getting our $75 back! It's definately worth it if you eat at Table service restaurants and even more so if you have a cocktail or glass/bottle of wine with dinner since it is 20% off the food and alcohol.
