Teppan Edo at Japan in Epcot imo is Disney's hidden gem. When I first booked it I wasn't sure it was somewhere we really wanted to eat. Sure I've eaten Hibachi before. As the time drew nearer to our trip, I canceled my ADR and then re-booked.
We had lunch reservations and actually were seated early. We are a party of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids and had deluxe dining. We didn't mind eating with another party since the table seats 8. The restaurant at lunch time on Thursday 8/18 was not crowded at all. It was nice and cool and the noise level was very low.
Everyone in our party got an appetizer which we didn't realize since the kids typically got kid food elsewhere. So we ended up ordering just 3, 2 of the assorted tempura and 1 wafu ribs. My husband and I got the filet and the kids got the chicken. You also get veggies, rice and noodles with your meal. The filets were almost 2 inches thick and delicious. So tender you could cut it with the edge of your fork if you even needed to because the chef cuts it up for you while cooking it. I had to cut some smaller pieces for my dd to try it. For dessert I got the green tea pudding which was good but different and dh got the chocolate ginger cake which was also good but I am not a ginger person.
I felt that this was a very good use of 1 table service credit per person, our check actually came to about $160-180 which was higher than some of the signature restaurant checks we received.
And the service we received was phenomenal before we could empty our soda glasses they would bring a fresh soda over. The food was cooked quickly and when you were finished with your serve ware, straw wrappers, etc it was whisked away and the area was clean. I hate when you are at a restaurant and they just let the dirty dishes pile up around you.
We loved Teppan Edo so much that we went back again for lunch 2 days later. It was Saturday and much busier but we still got right in, this time with out an ADR. We were still met with great service and great food.
Sorry I didn't take any pictures of the food.
