Hi everyone who has responded so far!
SandrA9810 said - Well we'll be camping next weekend in a tent. I can't believe I'm pay 50$ a night for a preffered but it'll put us closer to stuff.
I just hope the weather cools down a bit. It's still sticky at night, and with my mom and brother there won't be any room for the AC that we usually hook up. And the power is still out at my mom trailor park, and I have loads of laundry to do. I hate forking out the money for the laundry mat, but I guess if I get in some good hours this week at work I'll just take it and drop it off and have them do it.
SandrA9810 - The preferred sites will get you closer, and honestly if I could up-grade to one I would. We almost waited too long to get anything, well, it took us until this past week to get an open site of any kind. Hopefully the evenings will cool off by then and your Mom will have power at home before then too.

Memph1s Said - We will be there in a pop up Nov 20 - 25. We have camped in a tent before in November and the weather was wonderful. A little cool after dark but I love that. This has been a very long and hot summer and we are looking forward to some cool nights at the fort.
Memph1s - Yeah I am hoping it is cool while we are there, and our previous camping experiences at the Fort make me think it will be nice. Looks like we will just miss you by one day, so have fun and enjoy! Good luck on the weather!

gilesdad said - It's December and we're sleeping in a tent...But Hey! It's DISNEY WORLD!
We'll be there for three nights in a tent. Nov 29th, 30th and Dec 1st. This is our first trip to Disney World and is kind of a spur of the moment addition to a planned trip to Venice, Florida. We'll stop at Disney on the way back home to Central Illinois. Grandma and Grandpa have sprung for the surprise tickets to Disney for an early Christmas present to our family of four. (daughter 5, son 8)
We'll be only able to afford one day at MK this time around but hope to have an extended stay sometime in the future. But from what I've read on this board there will be plenty for us to do on our 2 off days from the park.
I intend to bring along a couple rope lights (red, green) but that will be the extent of our decorating since the little Honda Civic will be packed to the gills already.
Have fun. I'm hoping for 70's day , 50's night temps.
gilesdad - Well I hope you enjoy your first visit. Sometimes whirlwind visits can be a negative thing when people try to cram too much into a very short time period. It sounds like you have a good plan. I would suggest you take the time to look around the first day and hit the MK in the middle. You could spend an entire day exploring all the hotels on property, and there should be many of them decorated for Christams and have their Gingerbread Displays set up. I personally love to do just that. We always try to look at the Gingerbread displays and typical of Disney, they are always impressive. I especially like the Wilderness Lodge's display, as it has always utilized a train as part of its set-up. The WL is close to the campground and you should be able to hop on a water taxi and zip right over there. Oh, and don't forget the FW campfire one evening. Your kids (and you most likely

) will have fun and get to watch a Disney Movie (there is another thread here listing the movies scheduled while you are there) and roasting marshmallows and making s'more's. The s'mores kits contain enough crackers, marshmallows and chocolate candy bars for the whole family.
Enjoy your first visit! Look us up if you if you are wandering around the camp ground. We will likely be in a red and tan Coleman tent and driving a Suzuki Aerio wagon from Tennessee! We always enjoy meeting fellow Disney fans!
