DH and I are involved in K9 search and rescue as volunteers with two of our German Shepherds. At certain trainings throughout the summer (and should we have the need when called out for a search) it would be a good thing to have a tent, just in case we need to overnight.
I see all of the "dome" tents advertised, and they certainly look less cumbersome than the old style tents, but know NOTHING about tents.
Here is what I think we would need...
Large enough to sleep two adults and up to 3 85-pound German Shepherds
Collapses pretty small for storage in the SUV with all of the other search and rescue stuff
Easy to put up (as in - I would pay more for the tent if I knew it wouldn't be difficult to put up - since we probably won't use it that often)
Good in rain as well as good weather
What should I look for? Are there things I haven't even considered? Brands that are better? Etc.
THANK YOU!!!
