Tent Pad Size

We are thinking about moving up our vacation two weeks. We had tent space booked but now with the possible date change the only option is preferred hook up. Our tent sizes are 11X16 (2). We would like to set them up L shaped with 16 wide by 27 long.

Will the full hook up sites have large enough tent pads?

After 115 minutes, 4 phone calls and a sack full of BS I got some answers.

I am so frustrated with customer phone service with Disney. Let me rephrase that, the lack there of....Either don't know, tell you inaccurate information or talk to you like your 4. Why don't they just let me explain my issue and question instead of just assuming they know what I'm going to say!

Pretty sure the file they have on me is a mile long...with comments like "crazy lady" "why wont she just go away" "this lady again"

So anyway, I have been informed that if we upgrade to a full hook up site it will be $250 more, ok fine, whatever. I am willing to pay the difference if we can move up the vacation.

My main concern is the tent pad size. I was told FINALLY by a front desk worker at the FORT ( this may or may not be true) that there are 150 full hook up sites that have tent pad sizes 21X20. So technically, we would have more options if we did upgrade...yes?

Also, hubby plans to bring rebar to secure the tent. Anyone tent camped before that sees a problem with this?

Camp people...do you think they are that large???

You will fit on some full hookup sites. Some part of one of the tents might be on pavement. Hopefully they will save one of those for you. Doubtful a preferred or premium will work.

Bring something to secure the tent on the pavement- rebar won't work on that end.

My two cents is that tent pad sizes are not all standardized. My best advice is to ensure your reservation has a note saying you have 2 tents and their sizes. The CM pre-assigning your site will do their best to fit you if they have that info.
