I really want to go to DW over Spring Break March 20-24. We are in the process of remodeling so we won't be able to spend as much on vacation as we usually do. I have always wanted to try FW. And I think tent camping would be our only option to go to DW this year. Let me add that DH and I have always loved to camp. We have 3 kids DS13, DD10, and DD8. The reason I have hesitated to camp at Disney before is because we are so busy during the day and so tired at night I worry about being able to get a good nights sleep. But if it's the only way I get to go to Disney this year I think I'm willing to give it a try. Please give me your thoughts and any advice.

Have a Magical Day and Happy New Year!! :earsgirl:

We usually go in July so this may not help you, but if you don't mind to tent camp then I don't see a problem. We have a 2005 31' tt, but last time had tent campers close by and they had a very nice setup and it looked to me like they were living as good as us. They had a very large tent and a screen room. It rained 5 out of 7 days last time and the tent campers next to us stayed dry according to them. If we had to sleep under the stars we would still go to Disney. I hope this helps. Have fun.

I am interested in March camping experiences, too. Would love to hear about mid-march temps, weather, etc.

TIA

March should be a great month to camp! We live about an hour and a half south and are camping there that same week as well! During the day the weather will be warm but not blistering hot like summer, and at night it will be cool/chilly so you don't sweat to death in your tent. I think it's a great time to go and we are looking forward to it! The parks may be a bit crowded as spring break will have begun, but if you have passes or just want to hang out at the campground you'll be fine! have fun!

We camp at WDW because that IS the only way right now that we can go! :earsboy: Family of 5 can't fit in those Values anymore, don'tcha know!! We're campers anyway so not a big hardship for us, although I make sure we have thick foam mattresses to flop down on at the end of a busy day. Just make it as much like home as you can - comfy bedding helps and if you plan to prepare many of your own meals, a nice kitchen set up makes it easier. We put a screen room over the picnic table and even a separate tarp over another folding table, to spread out and have an eating area and meal prep area. For a week's stay, you can settle in a bit.

My only other word of advice is that if you are still in the "thinking about it" stage for going this March, you really ought to take the plunge and call NOW! FW books up fast these days during the popular times (like spring breaks and holidays).

Best of luck, and have a great time!!!
