Tent camping in DEC?????

Are we nuts to think about tent camping in Dec?(christmas week to be exact) How cold does it get over night? How do you warm up? What are the must haves? We will not be cooking except breakfast and I have the colemen propane stove. We have all basics we are concerned with weather! HELP!!!

It can get in the 20's some time but 30-50 overnight 70's day time if a warm winter 60's overnight mid 80's daytime

It is far crazier to try and tent camp in July and August without A/C.

It can be cold but most December nights we sleep with the windows open.
A good blanket and space heater will keep you warm.

I use an electric blanket at WDW. Helped keep me warm. I may add an electric mattres pad for my air mattres in addition to the electric blanket. Heat rises you know

Many folks use a space heater, but I'm still wary of doing that in a tent.

Run a fan in your tent during the day and open the windows to help get rid of moisture.

Keep your windows cracked a bit at night even when it's really cold.

Moisture is your biggest enemy when it's cold.

I agree with the pad under your sheets too. the air in the air matress will cool down to the temperature outside. it is just air afterall.
i made the mistake of october camping in the smokies and froze since i did not have an electric blanket between me and the air matress.
