What loop is best for tent camping?
Im so excited to experience the FW, we love love love to camp!
Thanks yall!

It all depends on what level of service you are looking for. There are 3 levels of campsites at Fort Wilderness:

Standard, which includes electric and water This includes the 1500 and 2000 loops

Full Hook Up, which includes electric, water and sewer (most of them are this way) This includes the 600, 800, 900, 1000, 1100, 1200, 1300, 1600, 1700, 1800, and 1900 loops.

Preferred, which includes electric, water, sewer and cable TV. As of the summer of 2005 high speed internet access was added to the preferred loops. See the section on "Internet Availability" below. The preferred sites are also in loops situated closer to the settlement which includes the marina, beach, restaurant, and many other activities. Also, if you plan on using the cable TV hook up, remember to bring a long coaxial cable to hook up with. If you don't have one Disney will be happy to sell you one.FW Camp Site The preferred loops include the 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 700 and 1400 loops.

Now, with all that said most folks in tents reserve a standard site. As you can see, there are only two stndard loops 1500 and 2000. Between these two, 1500 is more in the center of action (across the street from the meadows complex) while the 2000 loop is a little more "off the beaten path", so a little quieter and has slightly larger sites for the most part.

When we tent camp I like to spend a little extra and go with full hookup vs partial. We have had both and the full hook-up seems quieter since a lot of the other people in the loop are in RV's/TT's and those help contain noise better than thin tent walls. The comfort stations are usually a little less busy as well.

We the 1500 loop the best, it's like a second home to us. Did you already make your reservation? I think you'll have a great time at Fort Wilderness!!

Our favorite loop is 2000, our favorite site is 2038. It is located between another site and the path to the restrooms. There is a hug dip and plenty of bushes between the 2 camping sites to make it impossible for anyone to cut through your site (a problem we have only had occasionally with other sites). And it is near the restroom making it very convenient in the middle of the night, but not noisy.

UGHHHHHH, not happy the time we want to go in Oct is booked , the WHOLE campground is booked :sad2:
I booked Nov. 3-11 but im gonna call back and call back to see if someone cancels. Lets keep our fingers crossed.

UPDATE already not feeling the magic lol. Got online and got exactly what I wanted.
Oct. 25- Nov 2
