Tennis @ HHI HELP!

We are going to HHI in July with my sister who is an USTA Tennis Pro. I think I misspoke when I told her there is tennis available at the resort as the map shows no court. Now, I need this boards help. What tennis options, public or private, are available and how do I make arrangements?

I am not going to be much help, but I can confirm there is no tennis on site. But I do believe the front desk can direct you to places that will provide you a court to play. I actually think they have (or had) an arrangement of some sort with Palmetto Dunes.

Correct, there are no tennis courts at the resort. Across the street at Palmento Dunes is a Robert Trent Tennis Club where you can rent time on very nice clay courts. We played one year and it was not very expensive. You may want to call ahead to reserve a time depending on what time of year your family is going.

Dont worry about Tennis in HH. Palmetto Dunes is one of the top facilities in the Nation. You will pass the courts everytime you go to the beach house. If you are looking to play or join a clinic you can find your own niche. If you play alot of doubles tennis I HIGHLY recommend the competitive doubles clinic that is offered over two days. It changed my game completely and I had alot of fun while doing. Monday night is pro night and is an exhibition with several of the pro's from the area. Also, there is a mixed round robin tournament in the afternoon.

You will have to call Palmetto Dunes direct to make the court time. I would suggest doing it in advance before you arrive. I believe the link is www.palmettodunes.com If your sister is a USTA Pro then she knows all about Palmetto Dunes.
