Tempura Kiku is a walk up, but its not a CS. Its actually more bar style. They ended up seating us in Matsunoma Lounge because its more of a restaurant style seating arrangement, but they share a menu with Tempura Kiku so it worked out well. We got there early for the dinner rush and waited about a half hour.
Matsunoma Lounge and Tempura Kiku are right next to each other in the same building with Teppanyaki. You can always go up and see what the wait is and see if you can sit in the Lounge. The "lounge" part is a bit of a misnomer, its more traditional restaurant style with tables and chairs.
Yes. We went to Tempura Kiku last year. We walked up to the podium and said we wanted to eat at Tempura Kiku. They seated us (me, DH and 2 kids) in the Lounge area. I didn't realize this wasn't Tempura Kiku until I posted a review about it and a fellow DISer explained it to me. But, we definitely ordered from the Tempura Kiku menu.
I agree. This is our philosophy in eating at EPCOT. If you notice in my pictures above, we got one adult meal, one kid meal, the fruit appetizer and the 2 shrimp appetizer. It was enough for our family and left room for other tasty treats in other countries later on in the day.
