We arrive next wed and plan to do DL wed night and DCA Thursday then DL Friday- Then we are at ALA conference and I expect crowds to pick up. We also have some evening times until Tueday. Wondering how best to plan and if its is hot and crowded. I was in LA at the start of the month and it was cool in evenings- do I need a sweatshirt/jacket- any tips for touring it is our first time to DL and we have been to WDW over 30 times. Not sure which rides to see first and which are the best FPs to get. Any suggestions or tips would be great. I have read passporter and the sticky tips!!

American Library Association... Watch Out... Those librarians can get pretty rowdy!!! :)

It's supposed to cool down by early next week. It's been low to mid 90's - not what weather.com had predicted! We've needed to take a break in the afternoons. It's been waaay too hot AND crowded for our tastes! For the evenings - take your cue from the day. If it's been just pleasant during the day, plan on a light jacket for the evenings. If it's pretty hot in the afternoon, you probably won't need an evening jacket.

Hi Minni - Do you know about Bompy's meet during the Scholarship Bash on Saturday night? http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1715084

Hope to meet you there! :hippie:

If you're not used to So Cal. weather-even when it's scorchingly hot-over 100, our temps can drop almost 40 degrees at night. If you are wearing shorts and a tank during the day you are going to need something to wear over your shoulders later in the evening. Of course, maybe it's just me, but our nights are typically cool and damp. Even when we hit 100!

Or and here's something I recently found out you can do when it's hot at DLR. We were there on April 13th and the temp. was, unexpectedly, 103 that day. Wow, was it hot! :sunny: Anyway both First Aids in the parks had cold towels for you to pick up. They keep them in ice cold water and all you need to do is go in and get one. They keep them in buckets for you to help yourselves. A wonderul feeling on your neck and face when it's so hot! :cloud9:
