Temporary card expired & I can't get another one

My temporary DVC card expired on Nov. 12. I called a few days prior to that & requested another one & never recieved one. I called the day after Thanksgiving again & requested another temp. card & was told they would send one out, as of today Dec. 10 - nothing. The only reason I really want one is to use at the Disney Store. I don't think they'd honor my expired one. I was there a few monthes ago & was even questioned about my temp card. The manager said that it did not look like a DVC membership card. I explained to her that it was a temporary one until I closed & received our permanent card (we don't close until March, I believe). She relunctantly gave me the discount. Has anyone else had this problem? Seems to me that the temp. card should not expire until the closing date , oh well that is not the case. Thanks for letting me vent.

I got my real membership card before my temporary expires - but that was long, long ago.

Call MS if they can't help - call your guide.

I called MS with the same probelm. They are sending out new cards, but they indicated it would take 4-6 weeks for them to come in. Mine don't expire until Jan, so at least I'll get through the holidays with them.

You probably did a regular purchase Spiceycat. The "presale" people at SSR (me included) will not get our membership card until March or later when our deeds are actually recorded. We can make reservations and get discounts, but only with the temporary card (which, to be honest, came with the package BEFORE we filled out ANY paperwork, so who says its valid anyway? I dont blame that store manager, just wish there was a better way to handle things.)

I actually called Member Services today because I am concerned that I am going to have a hard time buying discounted season passes because I only have a temp card and it has expired. They said no problem, that the temp card will work and if it is expired, simply go to the preview area at SSR and they will print me a new one. It means a trip to SSR for us before we can go and buy our annual passes in probably February, but I don't like not having that blue card either. *pout*

Maybe I SHOULD just stay away until my first trip home in April....nah who could stand to wait that long if you dont have to.

The DS honored my expired card. It was a long time before I got our "official" card in the mail. If you're really worried, maybe you could bring a copy of your signed aggreement?

Really, it's not your fault the card expired. Most people are reasonable about things like that if you explain it fully.
