I am off to Florida in November - I'm very excited, have never been before so this is my first time :cheer2:

Now I shall ask a very typical girl question - as I just thought I'd better buy some holiday clothes, whilst there are still some in the shops!

So, 2 questions - how hot can I expect it to be in November time (going on the 11th back by the 26th)

and secondly what do most people wear when going to the parks?

Thanks

Normally between say April - October you would probably get away with t-shirts/shorts etc around the parks.

I would still say that to a degree you should plan with that in mind for November, however it will be cooler first thing in the morning and especially in the evenings so I would definitely take a couple of sweaters and some long trousers & 3/4 type etc

So you probably meed to plan for a mixture of temperatures, although mainly I am sure you could possibly expect temps. in the low to mid 70s.

We have travelled in November a few times before :) Shorts and T-shirts are fine a sweater for for the evenings. We have never needed long trousers :)

when we went in November it was absolutely FREEZING! We had to go out and buy warm clothes when we were there.

Way too cold to swim although the afternoons were warm...
it was jolly chilly the rest of the time!

This was 2000 though and the coldest winter for many years.. they had frost some mornings!

We were there in Early November 2000 looks like we missed that Sammie :)

I have never been there in November so probably talking total rubbish.....as usual?

We usually just wore shorts and t-shirts to the parks during the day. In the evening, if we were going out for dinner, changed into 3/4 length trousers and I usually had a sweater in the car, just in case.

Oh my god! That doesn't sound like my idea of fun at all!

Thanks for the replies everyone - sounds like I might be able to get away with shorts, t shirts and skirts etc but will need something a bit warmer for the evenings. Glad I was told that it is cooler in the evenings, as I do feel the cold, so I'd better take some cardigans otherwise my OH will kill me if I whinge about the weather! I'll start my holiday shopping this week with that in mind - I really can't wait - I'm sure I'll be back with lots more questions - more disney related next time!

If you feel the cold, definitely take a couple of cardigans as, even if it's really hot outside, sometimes the air-conditioning is so fierce you need to add a layer when you go inside!

No - we have been most months of the year, including late October which I used as a guide for my original answer.
It has only been from last year onwards that we have to go in July or August.

I have looked around a bit on this one and the average temps is around 77 degrees, so I am sure the majority of time it will be perfect weather for touring Orlando.
Like we have said though you will need a sweater etc for the times when it is a bit cooler.

Thanks very much for all your help - definately will include some cardigans/light jackets so that I have something to put on if I need to.

We are travelling with a 2 and a half year old, so I am kind of glad that the weather will be a little bit cooler - it will make it more bearable for the little one.

well just looking it up, the record low has been 29 degrees in November and record high 89 degrees!

so, I would say... be prepared for anything!

I have some lovely photos of my son going around world showcase in his pushchair with a coat with hood up, and blankets covering him as it was absolutely FREEZING!!
But I also have photos of him on that trip in just shorts and a t shirt...

Think November can be compared with February and March - you will get nice weather but not necessarily for the whole period of your holiday.

in 2004 I wore shorts & t-shirt every day, all day. Parks aren't open that late so I wasn't out that late. The airco was absolutely freezing though... in the busses and in the restaurants.

I went last November/early December, you definately needed a jumper after about 5pm, during the height of the day it was shorts and t shirt weather for most of the time but occasional days were darn chilly!
