hi i have a question about the disney dining plan. its the first time i'm going to use it so i want to make sure that im using it right. when i'm at a restaurant with the other members of my group do i need to tell them ahead of time that we are using the dining plan? And do i have to tell them which dining plan i have since there are different ones? Any help would be greatly appreciated! :) :thumbsup2

Technically, no, you don't have to tell them (though they will ask, and will ask to see the card). You only need to instruct them to use plan credits when paying at the end of the meal.

If you do tell them, they will let you know what your specific options are in terms of what you can get for your meal entitlement.

When we were there in Feb, every time I made an ADR they asked if we were on the dining plan, every time we checked in, they asked if we were on the dining plan, every time we were seated, they asked if we were on the dining plan. So, you'll have plenty of opportunity to let them know!

They usually ask, and it's not a bad idea to tell them even if they don't ask. That could prevent you from ordering something you think is covered on the DDP that's really not.

Please do tell them, it impacts the way the order is rung up and will save you issues at the end of the meal
