I've been hit with a golf club right smack in the face. Doctor said it could have knocked out my eye or broken my nose. Luckily, I only fractured a bone but there was a hole in my face.

I was walking around the pool one summer and I slipped. Falling into a stack of lawn chairs, I fractured a finger or two.

Yes, I had some wierd disease. They actually said that I would be mentally ********! They are wrong, though. I am currently in AP classes in middle school! I didn't like that doctor! My parents said he wasn't good at all! :) :teeth: :) :teeth: :) :teeth: I'm so happy that I turned out fine. I truly think it was a gift from God that I am as well as I am.

i was riding down our not-so-much-of-a-hill but i thought it was a big hill...
i was on my bike...
i would go down w/o putting the brakes on and my bro jumped out infront of me and i fell onto the concrete and i got a scar on my right elbow and i chipped one of my front teeth...

I was riding bikes with one of my friends, and it was my first time on this bike. We were in back of the fire house the day before Easter, and the brakes stopped working. I ended up hitting a curb and flipping over the handlebars head first into a tree, no helmet. I had a nasty lump right over my eye, and black eye for about a month. My dad, stupidly took my home to my mom instead of letting me see one of the SIX EMTs inside the station. :rolleyes2 :sad2: They all still hold that against him, 7 years later. The doctor's office was closed, and we didn't want to spend Easter in the hospital, so my dr. told my mom to just keep me awake as long as possible so I wouldn't have a concussion. The next day, my family came for dinner and my grandmother freaked out on my dad about what happened. When I got to the doctor's two days after it happened, she said I was lucky I hit where I did- if I had hit even centimeters in any other direction, I could have been knocked unconscious, had severe brain damage or lost my eye sight in that eye.
To this day, I still have a slight bump where I hit.

When I was about 5 my cousin and I were playing in an old abandoned car at my moms friends dads house when I opened the glove box and disturbed a bee hive---well we were screaming and freaking out so bad we couldnt figure out how to open the doors and stayed there till the adults heard us and came running----we were brought by ambulance to the hospital where I had over 500 stings---I was in the hospital for a week they werent sure I was going to make it because I was so small---my cousin had been stung about 300x and we shared a room----I was stung in my eyes(so they were swelled shut)nose mouth(i had a tube down my throat to be able to breathe)----I was lucky because I never developed an allergy but try to avoid being stung at all costs because you never know if the next sting will be the one to do you in!

I was born with dislocated hips. I got an operation when I was a year old, which didn't help. Then I got another operation when I was two that kind of helped, but I had to spend about a month lying in what looked like a stretcher in my living room. At last I had my final operation when I was three, which fixed everything. I still have a pale pinkish scar on each hip, which isn't exactly attractive in a bathing suit, but it's better than not being able to walk :)

wow you guys have some pretty knarly stories.

I ran into a dock one day. It ripped the whole side of my knee open. We were in the middle of nowhere so I couldn't go to the hospital or anything. It was weird because my leg was locked at a 90 degree angle across my other leg. A week later I went to get xrays. Turns out I had a huge huge chunk of wood lodged in my knee. They told me to pull it out myself. So 3 weeks later I pulled out the wood through the hole I still had in the side my leg. :thumbsup2 It was rather brilliant I must say.

hmm...
I was two years old, and was walking down a sidewalk. I had a daisy in each hand and was smiling like crazy. You know how sidewalks can be uneven at places? Well, it was, and I tripped, and landed face-first into the concrete. I cracked one of my front teeth. The dentist had to pull out the rest of it, since it was so bad and he didnt want it getting infected or dying. So I went without one of my front teeth until it grew in when I was like 7.

Also, when I was around 5-6ish, I was playing a neighborhood game of baseball with all the kids on my block. I was playing catcher at that time, and I stood just a tad too close to the batter. He swung, and BOOM. Right in the chin with a metal bat. I had to get like 6 stiches. ouch. lol I still have the scar, except its now under my chin and hidden.

Another one for me!-Was reminded of it by the previous poster---When I was about 7 or 8 me and my younger sister were jumping up and down on my bed-well by doing so the bed moved away from the wall--my sisyer bumped into me as we were jumping and knocked me backwards into the wall where I fell down between the bed and the wall (my bum was between the bed and the wall-my feet were over the headboard and I was sitting looking at my sis with just the top of my head peeking over the headboard) Well when I went between the headboard and the wall I cracked my mouth on the headboard teeth first----the blow knocked my 2 front teeth strait out so I couldn't close my mouth because my top lip rested on my 2 front teeth---My mom rushed me to Dr.Doykas a dentist in my hometown of Lawrence where he had to push them back down.

I couldn't find an emoticon that would describe it so heres this one :teeth:

I forgot to mention that I was only 6 years old when I got a club in the face. My brother did learn a lesson. :lmao:

Once when I was five I tripped and fell in a wooded area and a chunk of wood was embedded in my chin. The doctors had to operate on my chin to get it out, but they didn't put the full strength anesthesia in, so I could feel them cutting into my skin! :sad2: Those doctors!

when i was a week old, i got dehydrated and had a stroke. i was in the hospital for like a month. and part of my brain doesnt work now from that. but i am still like a straight A student...but after i almost died(because the doctors said i had a 50/50 chance of living) my mom was scared of me untill i could walk. and to this day, my mom is terrified of babies, cuz she is scared she will kill them...

when i was like 3 (a year before i went on my first trip to disney) my brother was swinging his metal base ball bat and my mom and grandma told me to go tell him to stop they also told me not to go too close to him but knowing me and my short attention span i didnt hear them so i went into the den and came up right behind his back apparently he didnt hear me say mommy and nanny want you to go outside b/c he swung the bat back and hit me right in the eye i couldnt see through that one eye for days and then when i could see i got pink eye and couldny see through that eye
