tell me your HHn plan where to go 1st

oh no, don' t get me started on beetljuice.

i used to love this show about three years ago. since they changed the songs, it is a do not repeat for me.

last year i did the beetlejuice in the daytime. same opinion, but did it to take a break from all the walking.

then, i did it during the hhn time thinking it would be geared to the hhn theme. i was dead wrong. it was the same version as the day show.

the show now just doesn't have the same appeal it did years ago.

it is kind of like seeing indiana jones at disney over and over.
once you have seen it, that is enough. no changes, nothing different.

I love Bill and Ted. Honestly, don't skip it. It is fun! It is nothing like Beetlejuice.

Ok, so I think I will skip Bill and Ted, then.

I would fit it in if you have time. I'd been many times to HHN and never seen B&T and when I did, I was sorry to have missed before. My whole group enjoyed it and will be going again this year.

It's been pretty crappy by comparison to older shows since the event moved to IOA.

I totally agree.

Also, IMO, HHN was MUCH better years ago when they had it in the Studios only. There was not near as many drunks stumbling around acting like idiots. the scare zones seemed scarier and they had more monsters and creatures from movies that you could actually recognize.

One word of advice for newbies going to HHN's. WATCH OUT FOR PEOPLE TRYING TO PICK POCKET YOU! Its dark and very crowded. even on non-peak nights. once I had someone trying to unzip my bag and when I noticed what was going on, the guy ran. so, now I carry a lanyard around my neck with my passes tucked inside my shirt. Once I heard someone say (not a scareactor) "I found myself a woman!" and he grabbed me by the arm and pulled me to him! I punched him and got away as quick as I could. I have had people (again not scare actors) walk up to me and scream in my face BOO! people get crazy at this event so be carefull. other than that, it's all fun. :goodvibes

mettalicat..........wow.......i'm speechless, never thought of that type of harm before.

when someone grabs me, i always use my fingers and poke them in their eyes.........then i kick them.....

faindrops27.............you best go to bill and ted 's adventure. it is a HOOT..

it is not supposed to be politically slanted this year.

I heard before that there are many drunks. I am not scared at all about them. But, I will be aware of my surroundings, at all times. I will keep my tickets on my person. Thank you for the heads up Metallicat. I do so have to agree with you Macraven. If someone dares to touch me, and is not a scareactor. They will remember me.

Believe me, I could have done some heavy damage to that fellow but we walking through an area over near D Dragons that was some kind of dance place. (me and DD) I believe it was called studio 666 and we were heading over to one of the houses. I didn't really feel in all that much danger since there seemed to be hundreds of people around and it was pretty well lit. he was probably just drunk and wanted a dance partner. funny though since I am in my 40's and he was what looked like 20. sure, I could have poked his eyes out or made him walk funny, but I felt like beating the crap out of him would have just caused a bigger scene than it was worth. good thing my DH wasn't there though. that guy would have really gotten clobbered!
I was more concerned with the pick pocket guy than anything. I really hate a thief! you never know if someone brushes against you that they may be out to rob you. something for everybody to keep in mind.

a lot of drunks last year on a saturday..........lot of pushing too.....but i didn't get caught.....

when a drunk, almost always a guy would push into me, he learned the hard way to stay clear of me.

so excited of this hhn thats coming up

Has anyone ever been there opening night? How busy do you think it will be? Do the express passes realy get you to the front of the line faster in the haunted houses?

I can't wait for HHN's. I hope the HHN T-shirts look good this year.
I noticed last year alot of Biker type people walking around. wonder what that was all about? for some reason if you see one of those drunk, you are not quite so ready to push back or say anything.
I really wish they would enforce the no smoking policy. gives me a sore throat breathing that stink. (gag) and the cast members just ignore them. I know because we were standing behind two smokers at the turnstill and I say to the cast member, Isn't there a no smoking rule? she laughs and says "What are we suppose to do?" she should have been fired on the spot.

i have been to two years of hhn on opening night.........for the 2 i attended, it was swamped. some tv crews did some filming and it made poe crowded. after they left, it was ok.

the first saturday of hhn is usually very packed also.

the last two years, i started attending the second weekend of the event

i don't have problems with the smoking. its all outside and if the wind blows your way, just relocate.
i do have a problem with the abusive drunks......especially when they think you are their friend......

It's not fair to have to re-locate if you are waiting in a VERY long line and there are hundreds upon hundreds of people in line behind you waiting to get in too. what? leave my spot just because some idiot is breaking the rules by lighting up their cancer stick? I think not.
I'll do better than that this time around (if anyone lights up) I'll get my DD to hold our spot and find a security guard to handle the problem. not some nit-wit cast member who doesn't know how to enforce the rules. so smokers, watch out, I'm not going to put up with it this year! :maleficen :cat:

I don't think there are any S&S areas inside of the Studios.

All I can think of is a "Party Zone" for Passholders which works the same way as a S&S area, but that will only be open on non-Peak nights (non-Fridays and Saturdays). Other than that, I don't think there are any Stay and scream areas inside of the Studios. But I can be wrong, as Bev said, we won't know the official S&S areas until the event happens.

As for the pathways, it sounds more confusing than it really is. It really is very straight foward. But, if you get confused, there are signs all over the park and the map should have it clearly drawn out.

As for Express Pass being for the 1st Bill and Ted show only (which, btw is in the Toon Lagoon amphitheatre) I don't think you'll have much trouble getting a seat for any showtime. The theatre holds quite a bit of people, and they have plenty of showtimes throughout the night. Express pass may give you a closer seat, but IMO all seats offer a good view, and that closer isn't always better, last year some action (and dancing) took place on the walkway seperating the two groups of seating (kind of disturbing having John Kerry dancing 2 feet away from you, directly in front of you, lol)

Most important, is to realize that when touring HHN, or any theme park, you need to do things the way you want to do them. We've all posted our own opinions, but they may not be suited for you.

Here's is a link to the official website, there may be answers to your questions here.

Just an FYI, I contacted Universal and was told this about S&S: Stay and Scream guests are able to stay at the entrance near the Yard at Universal Studios and at Captain America's Diner and in the Dr. Seuss area at Islands of Adventure.

And I too hate the drunks but have had no problems yet with any. I usually walk around with my hands in my pockets to avoid the pick pocketers, and the drunks haven't bothered me yet - thankfully. Might be because I'm usually with a group of about 25, but who knows.

thanks for the 411 foladar.
so its capt america and seuss area, would that be in the circus mcgurkus resturant?

the one in universal.......why would they have a s & s there when only on peak nights that area would be open?

The boneyard area leads right to a path where two houses (Cold Blind Terror and Where evil Hides) will be, so having this area as a S&S (will non-PH'ers be allowed in this area on non-peak nights?) makes sense.

Yeah that was my question too.
I don't intend to go into Cold Blind Terror or the Mine one, cus I have bad eyes and that wouldn't help me at all. Ask any of those clowns in that strobe room last year in HHN Nightmares lol. I was curious if the non-PHers would be allowed into the area non-peak since it is considered the AP holder "party" zone.. who knows, going to ask again and see if they reply. Can't wait for the 1st!! Six days.
