Tell me your favorite all inclusive resort?

I was at the Majestic this past July. It was awesome. You'll love it. I'm surprised to hear the Elegance is opening Nov. 1st- didn't look anywhere near done when I was there in July. The beach was the most beautiful one I ever saw. It had ruined me for all other beaches.

I've been keeping an eye on it through tripadvisor and most are saying what you did aobut it not looking ready , but lately they are coming around to saying it's about there, so Beautiful Beach, Here I Come!!!!!

Iberostar is one of the best all inclusive chains out there.

It seems you are looking for a Adults Only All Inclusive.

If you are looking for nice and fun, Iberostar Grand is the best way to go. Ultimate Luxury and the rooms are amazing. Beach is beautiful and the food is excellent.

They have nice nightlife too if you are looking for that as well. The Disco is really cool and they have nightly shows.

Just a little tidbit about Tripadvisor. You need to take it with a grain of salt. One thing can sometimes set off someone's entire vacation so please keep that in mind.

I have also heard very good things about the Majestic in Punta Cana which is also or at least a section is Adults only - however it is new so all the kinks have not been worked out just yet. But it looks and should be amazing.

We stayed at Iberostar Paraiso Beach, Riviera maya, Mx in July. It was great. We have 3 kids 3,8,11 and they all loved it as well.

We went to Paradisus Punta Cana in January. I liked the beaches better here than in Mexico but the resort wasn't geared as much for kids and our kids didn't like it. It is a nice resort for adults though.


How was your trip to Majestic? How was it for the kids? I would love to go back to Punta Cana but our kids don't want to go.

If YOU liked the Paradisus Punta Cana, you'll love the Paradisus Palma Real. This is my favorite all-inclusive ever. For the older kids, there is a game room at night and periodically throughout the day. My kids made so many friends in the game room that they'd hang around with during the day. My kids were 11 and 12 when we took them and they loved the Paradisus Palma Real.

OTOH, we stayed at the Majestic Colonial when we went to Punta Cana when they were 10 and 11. The kids loved it, but we were with my parents and my sister who was 15 then.

IMO, the Majestic is a step down from the Paradisus resorts. It is also less expensive. Now, I will say that we stayed there during the first year to 1.5 years that it was open, so things may have improved.

I will add that in both resorts the bathrooms are out in the open to the bedroom. Not a big deal for DH and I, but it was a big deal for the kids since we have a boy and a girl. At the Majestic, everyone would change in the large shower area. At the Paradisus, we hung wet clothes to dry on the rails to the sides of the louvered doors by the jacuzzi. That satisfied the kids.

In both, the water closets have frosted doors.

Additionally, the entertainment was better at the Paradisus and they had vendors come in on one night so you could shop for local items.

Thank you so much! I have been checking out TripAdvisor reviews but sometimes it is nicer to get some other opinions you know are legit.
We have been to Punta Cana and love it but were thinking of staying somewhere new. Will look into the ones mentioned. Cruising is great and we have been a few times but we are looking for a more relaxing vacation. We find the getting up and off the ship to take a taxi to a beach and head back by 4 to catch the ship to be tiring and we prefer to save our cruises for group/family vacations.

I totally agree and was about to say exactly what you did about Paradisus Palma Real, Dominican Republic.

I have also stayed at Paradisus in Puerto Rico and it is really stunning. These are my favorite all inclusives and I have stayed at many. Like mentioned before though not the absolute best for kids.

I hate to sound like a broken record... but Iberostar is my favorite thus far.

I stayed at the Iberostar Bavaro when I went to Punta Cana this past June and absolutely loved it!

El Dorato Royale in Cancun was wonderful. Couples only, no kids. Excellent Drinks, food and service.
