tell me your favorite afforable table service restaurants

@NYCgrrl DDs ordered sesame chicken and weren't wowed. We got Bao bun app. I got Kung Pao chicken and it was ok. Can't recall what DH got. We are big Asian food eaters and this place was just meh. It was also very busy and crowded and we had a wait to be seated and there was a line a mile long to go to the restroom. Nearly peed my pants while waiting in that line. Service was not good either. Slow..took a year to take our orders and never got drink refills. It was Dec 30th and busy overall at WDW.
Dec 29th - Dec 31 was crazy crowd wise. We ate at...Frontera Cucina (meh) on the 29th and it was wall to wall people @ DS and the crowds were only alleviated by our tickets to the Cirque du Soleil show. The 30th we had a late night ressie (10:45 PM) at Boathouse and there were less people out and about by that time but didn't help us much for the return bus wait time and of course it was unseasonably cold. The 31st I gave up all hope and we ordered room service, LOL.

Hopefully we'll bypass those type of issue since I've planned an early lunch with only 2 entrees and a coupla sides to share between the party of 5. I'm calling it a small plate meal;).

#1 for us is 'Ohana - ate there last night - again a scrumptious meal and excellent service!

The Wave for breakfast - a classy buffet!! Did not care for dinner there.

I highly recommend the Garden Grove at the Swan and especially if you have a AAA card.

The Seafood Sensation buffet is served Thursday, Friday and Saturday. You don’t need an ADR; walk-ups are welcome or you can book it on Open Table if you prefer a reservation.

Best part of all for your family—it has characters. Usually, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale. Your kids will get a first class character meal for a fraction of the price of Chef Mickey.

There were a couple of threads here recently about this hidden gem. Search on my profile activity to find them. :)

I really enjoy Grand Floridian Café. Our first time there was on Christmas morning and it was lovely! We've been back several times and never had a terrible experience. I especially like sitting by the beautiful windows! It can get noisy if you're by the entrance since 1900PF is right there, but it's still lovely.

I haven't eaten there yet buy Disney food blog rated THE Plaza as very affordable good food.
Trails end is affordable and via napoli, while wolf gang pucks express is billed as quick service the food is served like a TS and is very good! Blaze pizza you can get personal pizza for $9 whatever u want to put on it. Earl of sandwich they are $6 a piece.

I'm in the process of reevaluating this restaurant having heard good of it's version of some traditional regional dishes like salt and pepper shrimp, and slow cooked pork belly, both dishes not found on typical takeout joints' menu. Also seems to be easy to get ADRs for large and small parties.
My first and only to date experience w/ Chinese food at Epcot was spring or egg rolls courtesy of a food truck outside the China Pavilion; really really bad and we threw them in the garbage after one or two bites.
Eaten at 9 dragons twice both times were good while I have had better fried rice it was good and so was everything else

The Plaza is an excellent choice, and Liberty Tavern is nice as well, just depends if you want more sandwich and milkshakes, or full on meal. We prefer the Plaza. Also consider Sunshine Seasons at Epcot. It is indoors, and the food selection is excellent, no need to make an ADR, go when you need to - it is Counter Service, so therefore you can also save a little bit here and get mix and match food items to share or whatever. You can do this with the Resorts on the Monorail Loop as well. If you'd rather not have Table Service all the time, Their Quick services are excellent. We especially like the Contemporary, (they have great cupcakes too!). Also its worth noting that their are quick services at MK that are indoor with AC and you can definetly find respite, like Columbia Harbor House, Pinocchios Village House, others, like the France place. Also, Pizzafari or Restaurantasaurus in AK.
Kona Café was a nice pick someone mentioned above.
I would hesitate on the Beaches and Cream idea some gave, as I'm betting at 6 months pregnant in June, even an extra 5-10 min. walk outside the park at the farther gateway, may not be something you feel like doing. I get that there's a boat, but it's still not the same as going to a place in the park, when it's hot and youre already walking around a lot.
Thank you for your very thoughtful response. I love the idea of beaches but I don’t think I will be able to walk it in the summer heat. I wrote down a list of all you suggestions. At this point I’m thinking ac will probably be more important than food quality. Thank you to everyone who posted.

In January we had the DDP and ate like kings. This trip in June we are trying to be on a budget. My children are 7 & 3. I will also be about 6 months pregnant and in need of AC during lunch. I'm thinking Liberty Tree or Plaza for lunch at MK. We will also be going to Epcot. We are skipping Hollywood and will only be at Animal Kingdom for a half day. We staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge (got a great bounce back rate). We are open to restaurants on the monorail loop because that is my 3 year son's favorite ride. We will be at WDW for 5 days and 3 of those park days will be at MK. Thank you in advance to my Disney veterans.

I'd choose the LTT over the Plaza, more food for the money and IMO less chaotic and quieter inside. At Epcot, I'd do La Hacienda for good Mexican or Sci Fi Dine in for a super fun atmosphere and good american food. Our kids love it there (so do I!). Any of the TS restaurants at the mono-resorts aren't anything special from a food perspective (except maybe the Wave) and I wouldn't find any of them to be budget friendly unless you looked at eating at the QS options at the resorts. Or you could do a snack/rest break at the Kona Lounge at Poly, it's relaxing and has some good bread pudding. If I was going to have 3 days at MK and wanted at least one ADR/day (to ensure I had a table waiting for me to rest), I'd do day 1- LTT, day 2-Columbia Harbour House, day 3- Crystal Palace. At AK, I don't have any experience with TS restaurants, we've only done quick service.
