Tell me your absolute favorite restaurant

We are looking at a six night stay the week before Christmas and I am trying to get ready to make the ADRs. I know that restaurant likes and dislikes are controversial - to each his own, and I think that is a good thing. Part of my restaurant picks are based on sentimental value, not always the quality of food. We have never been to CRT and this is important to at least one in our party so that is on - probably dinner. Also on the list is Ohana, Coral Reef and Sci Fi. We will do a lunch at BOG. We will pay out of pocket for a breakfast at Kona Café and am thinking we will also pay out of pocket for Via Napoli. So I have one more Table Service to choose from. What would you pick? Our schedule will be getting up early and hitting rope drop, then taking a midday break and heading back to the parks for fireworks, parades, shows, etc. in the evening. So we could do a lunch or even dinner at a resort. If we decide on a Signature restaurant that would cost two credits, I could pay out of pocket for Sci Fi. Many years ago we did the deluxe dining plan so we have eaten at Yachtman Steakhouse, Narcoosies, and other great restaurants. I'm just looking for something different. Also, it will be at Christmas, so maybe a meal at a resort would be good so that we could see more decorations. We will be leaving for home very early on Christmas Eve. I am branching out with my food taste, but not really into Indian or African foods - dinner should be savory and not have cinnamon in it..... While my son struggled with the lettuce on the lettuce wraps that we had for dinner last night, he is very adventurous in nature.

For 1 Table Service Credit my fave to is Kona for dinner. Overall, Jiko is my fave at 2 credits.

Well you said you're not into African food but maybe take a look at the Sanaa menu. It's on my must do list primarily because I love the bread service. I can't speak for the food but Wildnerness Lodge might be nice to visit for the Lobby/Christmas so maybe Whispering Canyon Cafe. Have fun!

Cape May Clambake is our absolute favorite meal (plenty of non-seafood dishes also). The lobby there (Beach Club) is one of the best for Christmas decorations IMO. It has a very large moving musical Carousel with chocolate horses that smells absolutely yummy!!

I hear ya on the sentimental favorites and wanting to go to new places too. So much to "get done" in a trip.
Anyway, I have a second vote for Whispering Canyon food is good, and you'll get to see the decorations at the WL.
You mentioned Sci-Fi. It's really cool to experience and has turned out to be one of our favorites. I was worried because some of the reviews are really bad. But, if you want conversation with your meal, it's not exactly like that. You're in a car and movie clips are playing......the meal doesn't take too long either. So those are just some things to consider.
I hear Sanaa is awesome. We'll be eating there this December. Check out the menu, it sounds delicious.
Oh, I don't know how the Boathouse fits into the dining plan, but it's one of my favorites. Not sure if it would fit into your schedule.

If you're planning to pay out of pocket a few times anyhow, maybe you consider one of the restaurants at the Swan or Dolphin. Shula's and Bluezoo are far rated higher than comparable Disney restaurants.

My favorite is Flying Fish. Not sure if that is your cup of tea, but I always have the most incredible meal there.

I would suggest The Wave. It is definitely at the top of my list of favorites and has been consistently good for us in terms of food and service. It would also be very easy to do on a MK day.... just a short walk away.

Be Our Guest if I had to pick just one, since you can't beat the atmosphere, it really feels like you just walked into the movie, and the food is pretty good too.

Be Our Guest, Chefs De France, and California Grill have been some of my favorite stops.

I've just recently become a huge fan of 'Ohana! We went there for dinner and enjoyed it so much that we went there again two nights later! :D

Our Top 3 which we do every visit:

1. Shula's
2, Todd English's bluezoo
3. Il Mulino

I would have to say my absolute favorite restaurant is California Grill. You really can't beat the atmosphere. The views are amazing and of course they will pipe in the music for Wishes as well. Even if you want to eat earlier, you can come back for Wishes. I have also just done dinner and not watched the fireworks (5:00pm ADR) and it is still amazing. The food was also awesome (as it should be for a signature restaurant.)

I also really like Captain's Grill at Yacht Club and Grand Floridian Cafe at GF. Both restaurants have great food and you can check out the Christmas decorations at each. Happy planning!

Never had a bad meal at WDW.. not even close.
Still there are a few that we have to eat at every trip.
Breakfast at Ohana.
Lunch at Pizza Planet
Dinner at Tusker House

My favorite is Ohana for breakfast.... I'm an an old school bacon and eggs kinda guy..
My wifes favorite is Tusker House.
My oldest son loves pizza planet or just pizza in general.
My daughter loves the Castle but the value is just not there. Its worth doing once (we did it twice) but the food/cost simply does not warrant a visit every trip.
My youngest son eats anything and everything. His favorite is whatever is in front of him at the moment!
