We are going over Easter vacation and have never stayed at the Boardwalk. We have been at almost all the other resorts over the years. What makes this resort so special? Is as large as it appears to be? Does this resort share buses with any others?
Thanks...busy planning!!

Daisie check out my site as I have some info about the Boardwalk on there. We love the Boardwalk area b/c you can walk to Epcot and depending on where your room is a 15 min. walk to MGM as well. The nightlife is great at Boardwalk with entertainment such as magicians and performers nightly and if you like Piano bars Jellyrolls is a must.

The ONLY negative is the bus situation. You share with Beach Club & Yacht Club, and some times, Swan and Dolphin as well. That is our only complaint about the Boardwalk.

If you can look past that that is our favorite area to be at!! Feel free to check out the site and email me directly if you have any more Q's.

Boardwalk shares busses and water taxis with Swan/Dolphin and BC/YC this is the worst thing about it. The rest is great. The best part is being able to wander back and forth from EPCOT and the Boardwalk in the evenings. BW evenings are great. There is food, games, walking entertainment, good clubs biking, jogging and food everywhere. The hotel is also fabulous, with large rooms, a great lobby, a wonderful pool with keaster coaster slide for the kids. Balconies that overlook one of many great sights (ours was a direct view of the EPCOT globe complete with fireworks.) Possibly the most convenient Resort in WDW. You have all the dining options of Swan/Dolphin, YC/BC with EPCOT and MGM all in walking distance. Beautiful.

Being from NJ we just love the boardwalk. That's why I bought DVC at the Boardwalk Villas.

A lot of people like it because it is in the middle of all the action. But that's exactly the reason why we don't care for it.

We love the Boardwalk and all EPCOT resorts. The convenience is just too nice. We walk to EPCOT, take the boat to MGM, have over 25 places to eat in walking distance (all the close resorts and EPCOT) and a chance to walk over and catch the fireworks at EPCOT in the evenings after dinner. We have stayed at most places over the years and have gone back to here and BCV numerous times. Enjoy.

We love the BWI. It's our favorite WDW resort. We just love being able to walk to EPCOT and MGM (or take the water taxi). We like the theming of the Boardwalk and think it's just a lovely area.

We always rent a car, so the bus situation is not an issue for us.

BWV is our home resort,so we love the Boardwalk too. I always rent a car,so have no bus issues. On our last trip though, my 13 yo and her 14 yo cousin slept in and then took the bus to meet me at the AK. They said it wasn't bad at all. I'm too much the control freak to depend on the busses.

Thank you all so much!! The last time we were at the Beach Club was before the Boardwalk was being built. I did not choose the Contemporary for the same bus reason, they share with Poly and Grand Floridian. But since there are other options for travel to MGM and Epcot, I guess I can live with the bus stops. You would think the deluxe's would each have their own!! One reason we love the Port Orleans French Quarter!! I know it will be much more crowded when we are going and I love the idea of being able to walk to Epcot and take the bus to MGM.

Happy Planning!!

I believe during more crowded times(Easter should be one of them?) the Boardwalk bus shares with the S&D only.We were there in Aug. and that is how it was.You will have a great time at the Boardwalk.:thumbsup2 :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
