Ok, I just booked Jan 29-Feb 4 for my family of 6. We have free dining and I want to get some ressies made asap. But I don't know what I want and my kids are giving me no time to research.

I believe we have 1 TS, 1 QS and 1 snack per person per day.

We have 4 kids. Ages at the time we go will be 7,6,3,1.

So I know I want at least one, prob 2 character meals.
Otherwise I'm not picky.

What would you book? Please give me you opinoins/suggestions!

We love, love love...Kona Cafe for breakfast...and its reasonable. It's located at the POLY,and 1 stop away from Magic Kingdom....Its also GREAT for DINNER,The steak I feel is better than LeCellier and the staff is pleasent.

Do the kids like Winnie the Pooh? At those ages they might. Try Crystal Palace if they do. It seems a little more laid back than most character meals.

We love the O'Hana breakfast at the Poly, this is our 4th time going. Our DD5 loves it as we do too. The characters are Mickey, Pluto, Lilo & Stitch. Good food and nice character interaction.

I agree about Crystal Palace! Princess meals...you might try 1900 Park Fare (dinner-buffet)...Tusker House (bkfst-buffet) char meal w/ Donald & friends.

MK...Liberty Tree Tavern, Tonys Town Square...

Kona is wonderful @ Poly!

Lots of places in WS at Epcot. Also, Garden Grill has Chip/Dale - family style food.

HS...check out the menus for 50's Prime Time & Sci Fi and see if you think those are appealing.

AK...other than the Tusker House bkfst, there arent many to choose from TS wise. Yak & Yeti...yummy or Tusker House (non char dining L/D). Rainforest Cafe is there, but not on dining plan. Yak & Yeti is still waiting for contract to be confirmed, but will more than likely be back on dining plan.

Check out Allears website and you can see adult/kids menus.

You can pretty much type in the name of a place here on the Dis and you will see all sorts of reviews!

I'm not much help for QS as we dont usually do those, but I know there are some good ones out there.

I vote for Cape May for breakfast, and Crystal Palace for dinner for Character meals.

Where will you be staying? on property or off?

On as they are getting free dining..
To OP
if you have girls the Princess Storybook breakfast in Norway, at Epcot, is great. My kids also like the Breakfast at Chef Mickey's.. actually we normslly only do character meals for breakfast. Although we have done 1900 Park Fare for supper and enjoyed that meal.
If you are meat eaters than Ohana for dinner is also a favorite.. well of me, not necesarily the kids, but they can get regular kids meals as well.

Some of our TS favorites:
Kona
Biergarten (the music and atmosphere would be fun for the kids!)
1900 Park Fare - Dinner (Did it on a whim and the food was far better than I expected. The step sisters were a RIOT!)
Via Napoli
Boma - Though the menu options might look intense, if you're at all adventurous, give it a try! The great thing is that they also have good 'kid-friendly' options like mac and cheese and chix fingers too! So yummy!
Chef Mickey's

QS:
Anything in WS offers great options that give you pretty good bang for your buck! We like to split up our meals when we're in Epcot so we can get several different meals in different countries to share!
Picnic in the Park at AK - TONS of food for the $ and so convenient!

Snacks:
Cupcakes - Starring Rolls - DHS - HUGE, delicious cupcakes!
Cupcake - Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery - AK - Again, HUGE, delicious cupcakes!
Beignets - POFQ
Choco Covered Rice Krispie Treats - MK Bake Shop, Goofy's Candy Co.

I would agree on Cape May for character breakfast! We like Ohanas for dinner, *note there are no characters for dinner but the food is great! 1900 Park Fare is good for breakfast! Coral Reef is fun to eat at, make sure you can sit by the glass windows. We will be trying the new TRex place at Downtown Disney! Sounds fun!

With your family I would pick from some of these:

Tusker House for breakfast-AK day-before Rope Drop so your in the park early before crowds and head over to the safari while the animals are all out.

Via Napoli for lunch-pizza and pasta

Crystal Palace for lunch or breakfast-Pooh and characters-breakfast is my fav but lunch is good too

Coral Reef-big aquarium is fun for little ones and its nice for an adult dinner too-I don't like seafood so I find the menu limiting but the steak I had was very good.

Kona-great dinners. Trying breakfast the next time but not worth it to use ddp would pay

Cape May @ beach club -good for bfast (characters) or dinner

the character meals we love are:
Chef Mickeys, crystal palace, and 1900 parkfare
we used all of our TS on dinners:
kona, ohana, the wave, Cape May, Coral Reef, yak & yeti, boma
2TS - cali grill, narcoossees, citricos
i love the restaurants in disney! a lot of great chefs!

Picnic in the Park at AK - TONS of food for the $ and so convenient!

If you are talking about the pre-ordered picnic, that was discontinued as of January 2010. The only current option is grab and go sandwiches to assemble your own picnic.

Are your kids into Playhouse Disney/Disney Jr.? If so, Hollywood & Vine is a great place to eat breakfast. We had a fun time there with our then 3 1/2 year old.

Another great character breakfast is Tusker House at AK.

Some of our other favorites:

Kona Cafe at the Poly
Tony's at the MK
WCC at WL
Mama Melrose at DHS
Yak & Yeti at AK
Olivia's at OKW
The Wave at the Contemporary

1900 park fare is a great place for breakfast! You get Alice, pooh and Mary poppins ( and more)! Great variety for one sitting! Food is also yummy!

Port Orleans ; Riverside

You'll be very convenient to DTD so you could have a nice dinner there one night: Raglan Rd is good.

We like most of the CS restaurants there the best though.......Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express are great :goodvibes
