Tell me what you like to cook when it Snow's!

Any kind of soup and grilled cheese sandwiches!

I usually like to bake something when it snows. Today it just happens to be my dh's birthday and he wants stuffed shells w/ garlic bread, so I'm making that:)

When it snows or is really chilly, I like to make my family's favorite soup: Chicken Enchilada. It really is the easiest soup in the world to make. First I take a can of cream of chicken soup, and a can of Fiesta Nacho Cheese soup. I mix those up with 2 cups of milk and let it all heat up. Then I add a can of diced green chiles, a can of chunk chicken breast and a can of red enchilada sauce. Let is all heat together. While it's heating I make mini cornbread muffins. My family loves to put muffins in the bottom of the bowl and pour the soup over them. I also serve it with sour cream on the top. It is so warm and yummy, there are never any leftovers.

MMMmmm. Now I'm hungry!

Chili sounds good to me too.

Another favorite: waffles. I don't know why, but waffles and snow seem to go together for me. Maybe the cold just affects my brain in strange ways... :)

I like to make chili & cornbread on cold snowy days but I didn't take my meat out in time so tonight it will be fish fillets (they defrost quickly), mac-n-cheese from the box (yuck) & peas.

I love mac-n-cheese but the homemade kind. My DH is the only one who prefers Kraft so that's what he'll get tonight for dinner. Gotta make him happy sometime! ;)

CHILI!!

It didn't snow here yesterday, but it was very cold all day. So, I made a big pot of chili. And I made an apple cobbler for dessert!! :cool1:

No snow here but it's pretty cold. Last night was chicken and dumplings in the slow cooker, tonight is lasagna, tomorrow it's beef stew. Made fudge today - tomorrow, cookies. Can anyone say Jenny Craig...???

definetly soup, and homemade spagetti sauce, or cookies baking in the oven.

Homemade pinto bean soup and cornbread. My husband likes to add fried potatoes with onions for a real treat. It wouldn't make his heart doctor happy though.

I LOVE getting snowed in and cooking. Chili, homemade chicken noodle soup, and baking lots of cookies and cakes! and of course, snuggling around the fireplace with a good cup of hot cocoa with marxhmallows!!!!!!

but my favorite childhood memory of snow day cooking is my Mom making us grilled cheese and tomato sandwiches and tomato soup!!!!!!!

Thanks...I'm always looking for easy soups to make.

Bake bread or cookies are always good. Made a turkey dinner yesterday, with all the trimmings.......turkey sandwiches and soup tonight for dinner.

Well, when it gets cold, I must make Chili with melted cheese and a dollop of sour cream on top!!

Vegetable Beef Stew is next favorite....with cornbread!

And, pancakes with sausage or bacon!
