Have never done any dining plan at all, but have the free QS plan for the next visit. We are only staying 4 nights...really only 3 full days and the evening of the first night, so I am thinking it's plenty of food. Add to that the fact that one day will be spent over at Universal Studios. So 2 days park hopping and an evening at DTD or resort...all star movies. Tell me what you eat and where please...would love to hear how you use those credits!

of what we like on QS.

Anyway, on your day at Universal you could go to your food court for a good breakfast or dinner. Dinner would be a better value. You could use snack credits to make up a breakfast at the food court; we do this all the time.

Our favorites at the parks:

AK-Flame Tree for ribs
Pizzafari is our second choice there

MK-Cosmic Rays for chicken and ribs combo (the best value of all QS)
No second choice; we love Cosmic Rays

Epcot-Sunshine Seasons in the Living Land (huge variety)
Morrocco- Tangerine for their combo meal (another great value)

Disney Studios-Toy Story Pizza (you can get pizza and salad)
ABC commissary is our second choice, here

With your short stay, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat anywhere in particular. If your hungry I would just eat at the closest place where you can use a credit.

I would stick with park eateries except for your food court. I wouldn't resort hop for a meal.

You really can't go wrong; because, it's all included in your package.

Downtown Disney - Definitely go to Wolfgang Puck Express! No question about that. You get very good real meals there for a TS credit. Their desserts are great as well!

We did the QSDP in January and used it like this:

Breakfast - One Adult Entree for two adults to share. Lemonade in our refillable mugs and two bottles of Diet Coke to put in our room for later.

Lunch - One Adult entree and one large drink for two adults to share.

Dinner - Two adult entrees and two drinks.

Snacks throughout the day as we were hungry.

On days that we paid OOP for a TS meal (LTT Breakfast, TRex Supper, Biergarten Lunch, 50's PTC Supper) we found it was almost too much food!

Favorites for CS were:

Yak and Yeti
Backlot Express
Wolfgang Puck Express
The Mara in AKL
Cosmic Ray's - Chicken and Ribs
Tangeriene - Chicken and Lamb Schwarma Platter
Sunshine Seasons - Salmon

Another vote for Sunshine Seasons. We discovered this one on our trip last week and was VERY impressed. The strawberry shortcake was one of the best desserts we had...period (including TS).

DTD has some very nice CS choices.

Wolfgang Puck Express-2 locations
Earl of Sandwich
Cooke's of Dublin

One we haven't tried but may this time is Food Quest in Disney Quest.

MK
Cosmic Rays
Columbia House

AK
Flame Tree BBQ
Pizzafari

DHS
Starring Rolls

EPCOT
Sunshine Seasons
Tangierine Cafe
Yakitori House

Your resort-
Food Court

Or check out some other resorts food courts-we especially like the ones at Poly and GF which are monorail close to MK.

Waterparks
Lottawatta Lodge
Leaning Palms

Thanks...I am getting hungry just reading all these places to eat! I forgot about Starring Rolls...that place has some ymuuy stuff!

We went this past May with the free QSDP. I was freaking out up until the trip itself, thinking of upgrading to DDP. BUt it turned out we were quite happy with QSDP. In overview, the four of us pretty much ate whenever we felt like it and had snack credits to burn at the end of the trip. Some specific highlights:

MK
Pinnochhio Haus -individual pizza; side salad; chocolate cake (1 CS credit)
Cosmic Ray's - roasted chicken platter; chocolate cake (1 CS credit)
Golden Oak Outpost -chicken sandwich; I forgot which dessert (1 cs credit)
Main Street Bakery -breakfast (cinnamon roll; breakfast casserole; coffee; OJ = 1 CS credit) Ton of food!

Epcot
-nothing to recommend since we ate at Electric Umbrella (cheeseburgers and fries; DW had a salad of some sort which she didn't particularly like; refillable Cokes!)

AK
-Pizzafari (similar to Pinnochio Haus, but salad not as good) (1 CS)

DHS
-Fairfax Fare breakfast (better breakfast casserole than MSB!; inferior cinnamon roll; coffee; OJ)

Pop Century
- large pizza (2 CS credits but it fed all of us)
- tie dye cheesecake dessert (yummy yummy yummy!)

Next time we go I will probably buy QSDP if it is not free, but this time mix in a couple of TS meals which I will pay for using our Disney Visa reward card.

At Epcot go to France or Norway. Both have bakeries where you can get a full QS meal - great big sandwich, your choice of any of those wonderful pastries, plus a drink. No need to limit yourself to another burger-n-fries at the Electric Umbrella! Sunshine Seasons also has a nice variety: chicken, ribs, salmon. Pretty neat for a QS meal credit.

Similarly, at DHS go to Starring Rolls; they also have big sandwiches at lunchtime. Again your QS meal is the sandwich, your choice of the luscious pastries (like one of those monster cupcakes), and a beverage.

If you do decide to resort hop - go to Coronado Springs Resort, the food court there is awesome. My DH had prime rib for a CS credit.
