We booked the REAS package on the eastern Magic, but have not chosen a dinner rotation or more importantly, which restaurant to miss so we can go to Palos. What would you chose and why?

You don't have to miss any restaurants. You eat in the first one three nights, and the second and third ones twice.
If I were you I'd make Palo reservations for Saturday, Tuesday or Friday, that way you'll just miss one night in the restaurant you were going to eat in 3 times.
We were so pleased with all three we never bothered with even trying to get Palo reservations.

don't miss your first night in Animator's Palate (spelling??) - that's the only night that has the full "show" the subsequent nights the room is already in full color when you enter and you don't get the show.

Lots of people recommend skipping your 3-peat restaurant. But, it's a hard call, since every night is a different theme. Look at www.dcltribute.com for the menus - maybe you'll find a theme night that's less enticing for you than the others.

I couldn't though- I loved the menus for EVERY night! (I know the menus are subject to change). We have early seating, so we are planning on having a light supper (maybe just an appetizer...?) with our children, then a late night at Palo's. We're doing Palo's dinner on the last night, brunch earlier in the week. :sunny:

Jen,

Good idea. We actually did that on our first night last year. We had main seating, went to Triton's and then at 9pm had a ressie at Palo's for 5 adults. We didn't over do it in Triton's and then took our time in Palo (so we were actually eating closer to 10pm). Worked out great. The only problem was that we missed the show that night.

We also double-dipped. DH ate an appetizer, two lobster dinners and then went to Palo. That was after having Palo brunch that morning and eating pizza at Pinnochios. Needless to say, he was stuffed, and I heard about it all night long.

We didn't want to miss a dinner with our servers. The kids loved them and DD4 fell in love for the first time.
