tell me what the Easter bunny does

Growing up, we'd go to church for the Easter service, and then when we got home, the Easter bunny still hadn't been there, so my dad would take all us kids out in the car and go look for the bunny. I remember several times when dad would say "Hey! I think I see the Easter bunny over there! Look across the river!" and we'd all look, and one of us would say "I see him! I see the Easter bunny!", and we were honestly convinced that we had seen the bunny. After a little while of this, we'd realize that we're seeing the bunny closer and closer to our home, so we'd race to our house and see if we could catch him there.

We'd bolt in the door, see trails of jelly beans everywhere, and my mom would say "You just missed the Easter bunny! I tried to get him to stay, but he had to go on to another family's home." At the start of each jelly bean trail was an egg with someone's name on it. We'd each find our egg, then follow that jelly bean trail (collecting jelly beans as we went) until it ended. Our easter basket would be hidden somewhere around where the trail ended. After we each found our baskets, we'd then go hunt for eggs around the house.

We kept this up until the youngest figured out what was up...

Very cute!!! :sunny:

The Easter bunny makes his stop to our house at night while we sleep and leaves the baskets by the fire place just like Santa does.

The Bunny comes overnight here (Sat to Sun).

Easter morning DS will wake up & we will have our Easter fun. His basket will be out in the middle of the living room filled with his loot. At our house, the bunny brings more stuff in the basket rather then a lot of candy.

The Bunny hides the large plastic eggs. Again, we are not huge on candy (DS is only 2.5 so he does not need a lot of candy, and if he doesn't eat it, I will, and I dont need it. :lmao: ), so in our house, the eggs will be filled with stuff. Most likely, the eggs will have a matchbox car or something like that in them.

DS will get some candy, but it is not overload (like I remember it was when I was a kid).

Ours has always left her backet on the table and hid eggs all over the house during the night....last year was the last year the bunny came though..this year she is a non-believer!

Here the bunny comes Saturday night and hides eggs and baskets. The eggs contain change - except for a couple that have bills! (too much candy around here just makes mama eat!)

Baskets have bubbles, a DVD each and some little toys.

When my boys were younger that's exactly what the Easter Bunny did here! :cool1:

Oh my!! Easter will now be different - we are going to be at Disney!! I guess maybe I should call the Peggy, the Disney florist or bring a basket with me!
