Need some recommendations from Starring Rolls. Also, tell me some other possibles from DHS. We have done BAcklot and been happy. We will not do the Commissary. Flatbread place? They have a good BBQ?

TIA!

And can I use my Disney Rewards $'s to pay at those places?

We had Starring Rolls 2 years ago for a CS lunch and it was better than the toy store pizza place which we had the year before. They had premade sandwiches on foccacia bread that were actually pretty good, you also got a bag of chips and a dessert. I had some type of apple cookie for dessert that was really yummy. I think for a kids CS they only had those smuckers PB&Js but my DD was actually excited to have one of those.

we did Starring Rolls in 5/2008, and were also in there buying pastries at lunch time in 9/2008. Both times they had a really fabulous turkey club on focaccia bread (this was the favorite in our group of 4...all 3 sandwiches were tried) The other two offerings were a roast beef sandwich & a veggie sandwich. All of the sandwich servings are very large.

we went to Toy Story pizza planet also in 9/2008...and liked the pizza & garden salad. Not the absolute best pizza in the universe, but good enough.

the focaccia bread sandwiches are very good and fresh even though they are pre-made. I think it's the best CS lunch at the Studios and their desserts have always been delicious, get something as a snack for later in the day.

We ate lunch there last week. The turkey sandwich was pretty good, but I had to trade my normally non-picky son for his ham sandwich because it had a grainy honey-mustard sauce (or something similar) on it. The ham itself didn't have any flavor, not even salty, which was kind of weird. They also had some kind of veggie sandwich & the desserts were really good too. I liked that it was nice & quiet, not really busy. I actually liked Pizza Planet, which suprised me :confused3

Where is Starring Rolls? I know I've seen it but can't picture where it is right now.

It is next to the Brown Derby on the Sunset Boulevard side. You'll find it set back a bit and down a few steps.

We usually find their lunchtime offerings to be very good. As Catne mentioned, the Turkey Club Focaccia proved an excellent choice. Their pastries are also rather tempting. But, if you are trying to be good, the lunches often include a piece of fruit on the side. (Well, they did in June, anyway)

Thanks! I think we'll try that turkey foccacia next month.
