I can think of several things I like about the hotel.
The City Bar being number 1 - it's fab.
I also like the lobby and reception area, the lifts are cool and just the whole theme of the place. It doesn't feel overly Disney, which I quite like.
I am not a massive fan of the village, for various reasons, however having the Earl Of Sandwich so closeby was great.
The level of service also impressed me, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
I also thought the little hotel store was good and the Parkside diner restaurant is also nice, though we didn't eat there often.
Whilst we didn't use the pool that much it is really clever the way they combined an indoor and outdoor one.
Not necessarily a downside but there was no 'wow' factor with the room, considering it's deluxe, even though we had a lake side view which was nice.
I also didn't think the hot breakfast items were that special.
If we hadn't have seen such a good price for the
Disneyland Hotel I would have no hesitation staying there again and I intend to walk over from the DLH only if to visit that bar again.
