The lizards don't bother me at all. It's the snake that crawled right under my foot as I was about to step down that just about threw me into early labor at AK.
I'm just confused why the OP wanted to know if they were "gone" as if they were some kind of horrible infestation. I'm in VA and besides seeing them as I said in my previous post, I've got lizards in my yard also. Wildlife exists and in a climate like FL, it's likely to be lizards and snakes.
There seem to be more and more of the small lizards EVERYWHERE at Disney than there were just 5 years ago.
When we did the Sunset (Wanyama) Safari at AKL a few years ago and were taken behind/beside the resort to get into the jeep, I thought I'd entered the Twilight Zone, there were HUNDREDS of tiny, lightning-fast lizards scurrying all over the road
So funny! My daughter has always wanted to bring one of the lizards home with us to St. Louis. Actually I think they're cute but don't want one at home! Plus I told her they are probably one of those "protected" animals that you get arrested for taking out of their natural habitat and I fear jail more than lizards!
