I am so bummed. On acuweather.com our forecast for our June 11-19th trip now shows the 11-13th and EVERY day is thunderstorms. Not a chance, but thunderstorms all day. AUGH. The year before last in June was like that, miserable storms almost every day. Last year was great, only one day of rain. I can't do an entire week of thunderstorms again - when that happened we missed the parades, fantasmic, etc. because they were cancelled. COME ON SUNSHINE!!!!

June thunderstorms in the afternoon is typical for this time of year. I doubt it will rain all day every day..although we REALLY need some days of steady rain so I'll take what I can get. :umbrella:

It's a bit early, the forecast will probably change, but some rain and thunderstorms is normal for FL that time of year. Our first family trip to WDW in June 1994 it poured rain the first 3 days we were there, nonstop!! We just had to work around it. Not fun, but what else can you do.

Well, at least you know it will be warm and rainy, and not cold and rainy like we had it in December.

If it's raining when you're at MK, head to Tom Sawyer's Island. We had the place to ourselves in a thunderstorm. There are the caves and so many trees that the rain wasn't an issue there. And the "trails" aren't dirt, so you won't get full of mud.

Plan for the rain and wear some type of shoes that will dry out easily. I don't think you'll want to wear sneakers and socks!!

Have fun! :)

We will be there the exact same dates as you! We will be at VWL. I am so excited to go I don't care if it rains or not but I definitely don't want any cancelled parades or nighttime shows. Here's a little pixie dust for us! pixiedust:

Thanks, I'll take the pixie dust. Enjoy VWL. You're right, we're in Disney what can be better than that.

Of course the forecast will change, it is weather. Last year the forecast changed everyday heading up to the trip and only the forecast the day before we left was pretty correct, but not entirely.

We will be there the same time at BCV! I'm also excited and we have the Mickey ponchos ready. I'm going to add to the pixie dust for all of us! :tink:

Unless some freak of nature happens the weather will be as follows on your visit.

Warm in the mornings, perhaps some clouds.

Getting hot around noon, and humid.

A chance of an afternoon thunderstorm between 2-4 lasting one hour.

Cool breezy evening.

That is pretty much guarenteed in June, every year.

Orlando natives will tell you the weather forecasters tell you 'thunderstorms' every day throughout the summer just to hedge their bets. It's likely you'll have afternoon storms but not likely you'll have all-day rain.

We think they put up a post saying 'Chance of Thunderstorms, 60%' in mid-June, then they take a vacation until they have to come back and change it to 'Chance of Thunderstorms 40%' in October. ;)

Oh man - you must be my cosmic twin! I always get poured on constantly at WDW, so I feel your pain. :teeth:

One thing is certain, if you're going anytime between July 15th and July 22nd - bring an umbrella - that's when I'm going.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, but I doubt that I can be of much help - I'm a rain magnet. ;)

Except of course when there is a hurricane brewing, and then we see them on TV 24/7! Other than day, one day pretty much looks like another - like you said!!!

We usually go in July and our upcoming tirp is again in July and we get used to the weather. It always rains everyday for about an hour and then stops...and always humid!!! So don't sweat it, you'll be in Disney!! :cool1:

We'll be there the same dates.....I'm not even going to look at a Florida forcast for another week yet...things can change pretty quickly.
