Tell me something I don't know about POP!

the new resort was expected to be the perfect place for sports teams to stay while competing at various tournaments at the nearby Wide World of Sports. The influx of amateur softball and baseball teams, cheerleading and dance squads, and fans of the Atlanta Braves (who make Wide World of Sports their Spring training home base) would certainly fill this new resort's rooms as soon as it was built

BTW, during the week of Sept. 20-23 (think those dates are accurate) there is a Softball World Series being held at WWoS. Teams are great to watch. Man can those Major players hit!

Uh oh! I think I need to take it off my "must try" list then!

My DN (2) & I shared a piece in January....we ended up a bit pinker around the mouth, but other than that we made out fine (tye dyed cheesecake portion sits atop a piece of red velvet cake)

When I was at POP for lunch in January, and just taking a peek around the place I noticed that had free Disney magazines for the kids at the check in....anyone know if they still have them available??

This is a great thread- I see a few people with the same tickers as me. See you all 4 weeks from tomorrow!!!

Great to know about the unsweetened iced tea.....that pretty much makes up my mind about buying the refillable mug. Getting one for my DN for the frozen cokes......:rolleyes1 shh.

Thanks for the info about the unsweetened tea. I didn't realize they had that now......between the tea & the frozen cokes I guess I'm set!!! :goodvibes :woohoo:

The frozen coke/blue raspberry machines didn't work for 6 out of our 9 day visit to Pop. We were disappointed and finally quizzed the CM who got her manager about the deal. They said the motors were out on the machines. (all 3 of them at once??) And then her next story was that it takes a long time to mix up and freeze the icee's, so maybe CM's were just being lazy last week?

The later is true. They do take quite awhile to freeze up and they are in high demand, so sometimes the yjust can't keep up with them. I have heard early morning and late at night is the best time to go and find them working.

Can anyone tell me what is available in the Condiments area of the food court??

(ie - mayo, mustard, ketchup packs - butter - honey - jelly packets???)

My main concerns are if jelly, butter, cream cheese & Splenda are availalbe
and if there's anything "not so common" available, as well.

I also heard there are toasters you can use - is this true??
What about microwaves??

Thanks so much!!! :flower3:

All of the above are available - although cannot recall if I saw Cream Cheese, but then since I do not use it never looked for it ...someone else will know for sure!:) Not sure about not so common things...:)

Have fun!!

We were at Pop at the begining of August and saw that the frozen coke machines were not working mid-day. Also, for the person that asked, there are microwaves and a toaster that you can use. I don't know if you are supposed to take your own food in, but we did! And we saw several other families doing the same thing, especially at breakfast.

I have a feeling cream cheese is one we will have to ask for & pay for. :thumbsup2

Anyone know about any of the other condiments??

Thanks in advance!

Thanks!

This is exactly the info I was looking for. Since we are flying down - I won't be able to bring a toaster and all my kids want for breakfast is a bagel with butter or cream cheese. I was wondering if we could bring in our own food to toast and/or microwave...

Thanks Again!!
Can't believe our trip is only 11 days away!!! :cool1:

Sorry, no DIET frozen coke. There is regular diet coke though.

I just switched from Pop to Sports for my Thanksgiving trip to save $339. I had to leave my fridge swap, though. If anyone is interested, the week is now open (and the week before and after).

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1424360

I hope you don't mind me asking, but why was it cheaper to do Sports?

And can someone please advise me on a room location really close to the parking lot?

The general package code was not available at Pop, but it was at AllStar Sports. I'm going Thanksgiving week, so availability was slim. My choices were Sports for $339 less than my Pop package, or CSR or CBR for $3 less. I chose the bigger refund.

Thanks for this thread ... not going for another 7 months, but makes me feel much better about returning to Pop!
