Not sure if it's been posted yet, but here's my little secret:

You can see the WDW Welcome signs from the 80's section!! I had never heard this before, never seen picks... No mention of it anywhere! Imagine my surprise when I was walking up to our room on our first day, looked over, and saw this! You would've thought I had won the lottery or something the way I was jumping up and down! LOL

I just found this thread and I am thrilled! I just booked my first trip with my 4 yr. old dd for Christmas. We will be at the Pop 12/24-12/30. I have read that the buses are a nightmare to get to MK. Please tell me it isn't. I want to go there Christmas Day and her birthday on the 28th. What do I need to do to ensure we make it in before they turn people away? I do realize we are traveling at the worst possible time. My only 2 wishes are to make it to MK on Christmas Day and her 5th birthday. This place sounds really neat. I can't even imagine it at Christmas.

okay a few quick questions... I have heard that DIS'ers decorates their window/door.. is this true and what do you do?

Since this is my first trip.. someone told us the other day that the rooms are extremely SMALL - how true is that? We have 4 in our party .. two adults and two children (5 & 2)

i don't remember exactly but I don't think it was more the 2 stops before you get to pop.

When we used Magical Express last week POP was the first stop. May just depend on the driver or where everyone else is going.

When we used ME, POP was the first stop. I was very happy!
Only 39 more days till we stay at POP. These tips are great, even though we've stayed at POP twice I learned lots of new things, thanks everyone.

There were 0 stops when we took ME to Pop at the beginning of August. We went straight through going and straight through coming back to the airport. Have fun!

We didn't have any stops either when we were there in May. DME worked great for us! Maybe others with a different experience can let us know what happened with them. One thing, though, is if you aren't using the resort check-in for your trip home, you will need the 3+ hours to get to the airport, check-in with your airline, get through security and get to your gate.

I guess it would depend on how many people are lined up for each resort as to whether you will be sharing a bus or not. I didn't even realize people shared buses because there seemed to be a line for each resort. Also, we still had to do the 3 hour return to the airport, even WITH airline checkin at the resort.

The day before you are leaving, you will receive a notice hanging on your door with instructions on what time to be picked up downstairs. They determine your return time to the airport. Our flight was leaving at 1:25 pm and we had to be on the 10:15 am bus.

Did you have them check your bags at POP on your way home? If so, how soon did they want the bags? We have a 3pm flight and have breakfast reservations at 8. I was wondering if we could check the luggage in before we went to breakfast.

Thanks so much for the info. This will be our first time to use the lugguage check in system for the way home. So not really sure what the time restrictions might be.

If you're checking your bags at POP on the date of your departure, you should be able to check them before your breakfast reservations. We've used ME numerous times. We've found it to easier at POP than any other resort. Probably because POP is the largest resort, or at least it has the most guest rooms. I can't remember the exact number, but I know I've used ME to go to POP at least a dozen times. Only once have we gone to another resort first.

I always get the latest possible flight home, so we check out pretty early, check our bags, then head to a park, usually MK, until time to return to POP for our ME bus back to the airport. We always have some things we've bought that we don't want to check, so we use one of our WDW tote bags and get a locker at the park.

What I do with the frozen cokes is I add regular coke to it so I don't drink it all up and just have ice...it really works great too, but that's me!
I wonder for those who like diet coke, if you could top it off with diet too or if it would make it taste yucky?!
