Currently have BWV std studio booked sunday 2/10 deparing Friday 2/15.
(was thinking of adding 2 nts at POR in a "royal" room for Fri/Sat 2/8-9

Flights out of cleveland are still over $300.

THEN! A flight appeared at $158 round trip for Tues/Tues 2/5-2/12!!!

Called Member services and my room is not available on Saturday/Sunday of the new dates (of course). I could book OKW/AKV-kidani/SSR and waitlist BWV...

But remind me that this close to February my waitlist won't come through and it's too much of a gamble since I really want BWV this trip! Also tell me that if I keep watching flights like a crazy person that the 2/8 - 2/10 will improve over the current $340!!

I know the airlines have had these crazy good deals lately. Could they credit you at all?

Or try the AKV or OKW on points and waitlist BWV.

I wanted to do (1 or 2 nights) at POR regardless, and was also looking at the weekend before or after the dvc stay, but the season changes to peak on 2/14 for POR. And, if I found a great deal on flights Sunday-Friday (my dvc stay), I'd migh take that and skip POR. $340 just seems so high for the flight!

I haven't booked flights yet, so there wouldn't be any credit (not sure what you mean about that really)

I hear ya Diane. Told my DH about it, and he said if I manage the $159 flights he'd go with me too. (my solo trip would be no more) - good and bad, but I'd like him to come with me.

I just did almost the exact same thing so I'm of no help President's day weekend flights are crazy so I extended trip length to reduce the price = extra days almost free (food etc. costs more but whatevs).

Now I am still a little sad, as I may be not be able to get a new ressie at Be Our Guest, or at Rose & Crown for the Illuminations fireworks...

Yep yep. the crazy things we do. I saved a ton of money on the flight and added a HUSBAND!!???

also FQ is a beautiful resort if nothing comes through.. with waitlisting ( or stalking) on line now available.. i bet you get most of it.. even if a day or 2 at a time.

and...I was so frantic trying to grab the flights and change my dvc res that I didn't have time till afterward to check my previous itinerary and my 2 dinner reservations (rose & crown & be our guest) are days that my old and new trip dates overlap, so I will get to keep them! They are just at the end of the trip instead of the beginning!

yep, I just can't believe this is all working out.

When my non disney husband (of 22 yrs) decided to come with me, I "let" him pick out our backup resort and my not usually romantic husband said, "Take SSR. I liked the last time we went, and we walked over to DTD holdin hands on the path to get a margarita in the evenings". awwww! guess I'll keep him

I would take the cheap airfare tues to tues and waitlist. Kidani is a great resort if you can get it. You might be happy to have some nice resort time at the end of the vacation so you are relaxed to go home. I booked kidani once when to be honest i couldnt get anything else other than ssr (i like to be able to get to a lobby/store inside) and thought the resort was one of the best dvc's. save the money on air and have a great trip.
